So we went for a takeaway and chose here as it was 2nd in the reviews and didn't have any bad reviews. We were looking forward to having a nice Chinese. It all looked nice, except the sweet and sour sauce was very runny like water and then we started eating it, we were so hungry we ate it but I thought this chicken ball tastes funny. I then tried another and I wasn't sure if the meat was pink or if it was the sweet and sour sauce I had put all over it, so i continued to eat it. I couldn't eat it all before I started feeling sick. Well none of us had a good night's sleep as we were all ill. I WILL NOT BE GOING HERE AGAIN AND DEFINITELY WONT BE RECOMMENDING it to other people that I know come on holiday or have holiday homes here. We were very disappointed and very ill.

Quirky little tea room/coffee shop offering something different in one corner of the Market Place. The clue is in the name - the menu is Austrian-themed and run by two friends who serve home-made treats and make most of the crafts which are for sale in the shop. Their goulash soup with bratwurst is a steal at under £3, and makes a hearty lunch, while sweet items include stollen or apple strudel and cream for a mere £1.40. The cafe also offers gluten, sugar and dairy-free products - plus a range of healthy treats for dogs, including doggy beer! Service was on the slow side, but very charming!

Xmas day lunch - starter & pudding ok, main course was poor, two slices of pre formed turkey & one pig in blanket otherwise all veg which was heaped on plate and which any person with a reasonable appetite could not manage therefore lots of waste sent back to kitchen. Veg was hard and unappetising. Overall poor and not as good as previous visits. Not worth price paid. Will go elsewhere next xmas.

Love China Rose - was introduced by a friend many years ago before I moved to Rainworth and can honestly say they are the best! Quality has never dropped - been a solid customer for over 6 years now. Just had the new salt combination box and it was amazing! We had one for two people and couldn’t finish it! Wowzers soo big and tasty! Thank you so much

Stopped for lunch today after a long walk. A very warm welcome from the lady serving, she said we could bring our dog in but he was a bit sandy so we sat at the tables outside. Food was cooked fresh to order. Everything was very kindly brought out to us on a tray. Cod and chips were absolutely delicious, very generous portions, good hot cups of tea. I would definitely recommend
