The best restaurants in Sudbury South Babergh East of England

Fab! The best pizza I have ever had and I do not exaggerate. They gave us a free taster of bread with balsamic which augured well and the pizza reflected the same quality. Great service and I was highly honoured to visit. And we saw Mark Steel. Twice!

As a pool player for this pub I'm in here most days. What makes this pub the place to be is the character, the charm, the staff who make it such a cosy place to frequent. The food is amazing, my favourite by far is the roast dinners. Massive fan of then. The staff too are friendly and accommodating, even playing pool they come over and talk to you ask you about your day ect, their general attitude is very positive and it makes the experience that much better. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Keep up the great work!

Visited with my elderly grandparents for lunch. Food was lovely, generous portions. Food took a little while to arrive but we were catching up so it was fine. Only criticisms was that the building was freezinggg and the waitress who served was really quite rude at times. I completely understand that we all have off days sometimes but I was cringing at points and it kind of spoiled the overall experience :(

Great to see this place open again as it’s in such a great location. Staff friendly and attentive but not pushy . Food was enjoyed by everyone and of a very good quality . Will definitely return .

Sudbury has always been part of my life, went there just for a wander. Popped in for coffee as it was opposite my nans old house, was very impressed. Great service and a wonderful Full English, the bacon was absolutely amazing… (Although I did decline a Mince Pie shot in my latte 🤣) Thank you.

Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere. All courses cooked to perfection. Service friendly and professional. Limited choice of wine but good quality to pair with the meal.

Tried for the first time tonight, so glad we came, the food was delicious, service impeccable abd reasonably priced. Will definitely be back

This place is amazing. I had a cappuccino and bacon, sausage, egg and chips. My wife had a veggie breakfast with complementary toast and a cup of tea. Total £16.10. Tasty food, great service, fantastic value 🙏🏻

A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in Marimba cafe, with excellent service from the most friendly and professional staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Home made cakes and a huge variety of proper coffee and exotic hot chocolates to choose from. The wonderful girls who work in Marimba soon get to know you by name and everybody is made most welcome. I highly recommend!

This is a nice place to eat at,good value for money,food nicely prepared,they even make a roast for you, cakes are also on offer also gluten free,but always ask,they offer tea and coffee

I have meant to try the pie mash shop in Sudbury for ages but only got round to it today. I'm really sorry I didn't go before now as it was excellent. I only had a single pie and mash but it was plenty for me. The pie was perfect and the liquor was really good. I will definitely go back.

Driver has asked me to leave feedback. Honestly it was not good this place used to be brilliant the last two orders we’ve had have been absolutely appalling in all honesty. Most recently our pizzas felt and looked like they were overcooked then more cheese was put over the top to cover and burnt bits. You could still taste burnt and it was so cheese heavy it was awful. Such a shame as it was one of our favourites to order from but now going forward we will order pizza from elsewhere.

Terrible experience ,,, first time ordering from here and food turned up cold offered a measly percentage of discount for next time , not sure there will be one ,,, all food in oven , not major inconvenience but shouldn’t have to … people at restaurant were not really bothered or worried …
