Had a work meal here and the service, food and prices were all excellent. I would recommend!

Probably the best pub meal I have ever had!! A special birthday meal for 5 fit in late notice with no problem, I had the chicken special which was AMAZING!! We are so lucky to have this as our local pub, they look after their locals as well as diners & make every customer (& Basil the dog!) feel so welcome. Keep doing what you’re doing!!

What a beautiful looking shop front, décor lovely on entering was greated by a friendly member of staff. I purchased 2 cakes for £11.00. Extremely expensive however they looked delightful and packaging was great couldn't wait to get them home to enjoy. I brought Bakewell slice and milky way. I am so sorry to say they were absolutely awful. I can't even describe them but they were definitely not cakes. Hard, heavy, disgustingly sweet blocks of sugar. I disliked them so much that after only the smallest of bites I had to stop eating them. It's such a waste of money as I had to throw them away as my husband disliked them also. I'm not in the habit of giving poor reviews unless absolutely necessary. But these really are not cakes.

We didn't eat, popped in after dog walk. Very friendly and welcoming, dogs given several treats . Great community resource.

I visited The Waggon & Horses last night with a group of 11. It was my first visit, although others in the group had been before. On arrival, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The woodburner was alight, creating a lovely, warm, and cosy atmosphere that made us feel at home. Once seated, our pre-ordered food arrived quickly. I had the lasagne, which was delicious, homemade, and very cheesy – the perfect lasagne. It came with chips, salad, and coleslaw, all in very generous portions, for a very reasonable price of £15.95. Several in our group had the Beef Stroganoff, which looked amazing, had very large portions, and was 100% homemade. Not a single complaint from anyone at the table! Somehow, we all managed to squeeze in dessert too (all homemade). I had the Toffee and Pecan Pavlova – it was so sweet and creamy, I couldn’t fault it. The staff remained friendly and attentive throughout our meal. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last. The Waggon & Horses is everything a good local country pub should be and more. I’m looking forward to returning in the spring/summer to enjoy the beer garden.
