The best restaurants in Market Cambridge East of England

Hadn't been here for ages as it is not the best of places for refreshments. We called in today to get a refund for some slippers that started to fall apart after less than two weeks. Person serving not very bright ! I put the defective slippers on the counter with my receipt at the side of them. I told him one of the slippers was falling apart after less than two weeks. In typical robotic style he uttered, "Have you got your receipt ?" Help!! As we were in there we decided we would just have a tea and cappuccino before walking back for the park and ride bus to return to our car. Queue was not too long but service was, as usual, so slow. The walking art gallery woman serving ought to have her long dyed blonde hair tied back as she was flicking and shaking it about all the time and where food is involved this is not good hygiene practice. Then, as we were sitting and having our drinks we, and several others, were shocked by a bang as a roof tile dropped down on an unfortunate customer sitting a few seats away. Luckily he didn't appear to be injured. I was shocked as well as I have PTSD. There was an area that was screened off for work in progress but it was inadequately guarded and the seats and table should never have been as close to the screened area as they were - as this poor chap discovered ! All in all, a very eventful visit but for the wrong reasons.

The service was not the best, we had to wait to be served a very long time that we thought to walk out. Pizza is okay but the toppings are below average.

Bonito escenario, sin embargo, un caos absoluto. Después de haber esperado en cabeza de cola durante unos 5 minutos para hacer el pedido estábamos en el punto de salir cuando finalmente nuestro pedido fue tomado. Al entregar comida a la mesa nos informaron solo entonces que no tenían té descafeinado. Tuvimos que perseguir dos veces por una bebida alternativa a la llegada, que finalmente llegó después de que habíamos comido comida. Caos total, falta total de liderazgo y claramente un ejemplo de propietarios que no forman a su personal.

Acogido como un gran grupo familiar. Nos dieron la bienvenida por Emma desde el momento en que abrimos la puerta. Gran servicio y comida encantadora con porciones generosas. Increíbles patatas fritas. Una adición maravillosa a la vida del pueblo. Sigue así Adam y Kieran.

Stopped here at about 1210 so early for lunch. There was only one sandwich and two tuna melt panini rolls to choose from very poor at this time of day. One panini chosen and toasted this I was told very nice it also had cheese and a light onion filling along with the tuna. I had a tomato and basil soup which was served with two lightly toasted sour dough bread slices. The was also nice. It appeared lots of tables being used by people on laptops who look like they have been there ages. Well this is Cambridge with lots of students.

Hay una razón por la que no muestran sus precios. . ¡Son caros! Por £ 13 o así un plato, yo esperaría un buen restaurante limpio o comida sublime. Esto no es nada de eso. La única cocina que vi fue un huevo encima de mi vientre de cerdo. La parrilla y el delantal de los cocineros parecían necesitar TLC. El penng Char kway teow era soso y el vientre de cerdo aunque sabroso estaba mal en la relación carne a arroz. No me malinterpretes he comido mucha comida callejera en todo el mundo, no tenía estos precios y ciertamente no era soso. Los platos se pueden cocinar con antelación, pero aquí no se beneficiaron de ello.

Pedí una patata al horno sin mantequilla. ¿Sabes qué? ¡Llegó y se había cocinado con mantequilla! No adelgazar amigable para el mundo. Ensaladas empapadas en aceite de oliva.

The Roof Top Bar is a top end establishment, yet recently it is anything but, broken and dirty toilets, dirty tables, untidy chairs, staff talking rather than making the place tidy and acceptable.

Delicious food, with authentic Sichuan cuisine, definately would go again and the service was great and efficient. Perfect for family meals and eating by yourself either way 👏

Quite a huge costa and always come in for lunch. Great staff too 👍

Dont order a takeout from here, order items tonight, and didn't receive the items at all, or received items that hadn't been made to the requirements that had been specified on the order. Won't be ordering from here again.

The paella is excellent. The price is on the higher side compared to other market offerings. Portion sizes can vary significantly (even though they sometimes weigh the boxes before handing over).
