The best restaurants in Colchester East of England

It was our daughter's birthday so we ordered champagne. It sat on the bar unopened with some normal wine glasses by the side. We waited and then had to ask for flutes and to have it opened - they seemed surprised at the request! Had a snack. Waitress spilt Mayonnaise over us. We had to ask for a cloth to mop it up ourselves and ask for a replacement Mayonnaise. The food didn't all arrive together. Table not cleared until asked. No apologies offered - just excuses "young staff and a wedding on". Bill near on £100. No reduction offered. Such a shame as have had some great times there over the years. Very reluctant to return now or recommend to anyone else.

Third time I have ordered a delivery from this location and every time it has had issues! This time they forgot the order. When I rang it was chaos. Blaming the computer system and lack of drivers. Won’t be using again! Avoid at all costs

Absolutely spot on. Had my cake made and ready for the correct day and I showed up earlier than booked and it was already set up for me. Amazing flavour and absolutely gorgeous for a reasonable price. Thank you! Candle was bought and put in separately.

Pretty average subway, nothing overly amazing about it. Service is adequate, the food is as you would expect.

I put one star as I can't put less. It has been a shame, we ordered 2 hours ago and we are still waiting for the dinner. Wraps were liking and unwrapped. I won't order again in place. Big deception

the food was absolutely gorgeous, came out rather quickly and looked and tasted fab! our waiter rishi was just wonderful also!

This was the worst takeaway I've ever ordered from the food was discusting... I phoned them to come get the cod and sausage and for my money back and I had to wait 2hours for the delivery man and to be payed a pound sort I'm NEVER ordering from these again

Only lasted 20 mins as manager was rude to us and then got a parking fine for waiting! Appealed decision and it got rejected. Seems to be going downhill.

Staff had no interest in helping with allergy information. Was told there was no allergy menu and that there was “probably” nothing we could have. I pushed and was told they could not be sure what ingredients were included! I pushed again and was handed an allergy folder. No dairy free ice cream options at all. Only one sorbet dish. How out dated! And disgracefully dismissive of our young boys needs in a family venue.

The best ever hash browns. Light and crispy not dripping in grease Go here! Drive through highly efficient and the order was correct!
