The best restaurants in Dacorum East of England

Just celebrated my birthday here with my family and friends, they went to so much effort for us and we had a fantastic night. Food was amazing, staff are always happy and so helpful. Also if your looking for a dogs friendly pub the White Horse is great as they even offer a doggie menu. There is an area where they were showing the football and also we had use of the darts board!! Fantastic place! Thank you everyone

Plenty of choice on the menu as well as specials. Reasonable prices. Good service.

Teresa is basically my mother away from home, she’s always making sure I’m well fed and looked after. Bar staff goes above and beyond even for the littlest change in drinks. Big props to Abi, Oli, Tom, Jess, Sofia and the team! Definitely my favourite place to come for a drink and chill out, even if I live 35mins away..

Hotel was fine but Riverside car park is awful and high risk of scraping expensive alloys in an old fashioned badly designed car park with high kerbs everywhere

Room was good and staff were friendly. Food wasn’t the best we had a burger and then breakfast the morning after. I know it’s not a Michelin Star but could be better

If I could give zero for the food I would: we went on the evening of 22nd December. Only us there. We got our drinks and then waited for our starters. They came out cold. Called the waitress over who apologized and asked if we wanted them heated or freshly cooked. I said freshly cooked. Was told would be about 10 minutes. 15 minutes later they came and again there were cold. I told the waitress who was lovely. She was so embarrassed. I told her we were leaving. I went to speak to the chef and he could not give a damn and argued with me. Steer clear of this place if you want hot food and a chef that cares.

Everything covered in greese, tasted like oil and chicken balls tasted like donuts!

Everything were good the food is delicious and I loved it , I recommend you to get some beef and chips box with Sauce’s and that , but it costs a bit more the price it’s not worth it

Good music, friendly staff but the minute you walk in the door it’s very gloomy and just a feeling of being unwelcome by the regulars probably not helped by the dull lighting and interior. It’s alright for an entertainment night in the side bar but not somewhere you would immediately think of for a drink

Ashridge House setting absolutely magnificent. Food was good although a tad expensive. Staff were friendly and efficient. Do not agree with the unisex toilet arrangement.

No problems with ordering or delivery but food quality this time was disappointing. We ordered chicken with lemon sauce and three other dishes which were fine but the chicken was not good. It was dry hard and stringy and inedible, shame as the sauce was lovely. Never has any issues with food from here before.

The ambience was amazing as the staff were very attentive. The waiter serving our table made sure that we did not miss anything, as she explained all about the menu and choices available. It my nephew's birthday celebrations dinner. The staff made it remarkable when they brought out the cake after we had our dinner. They came out one carrying the cake other singing the happy birthday song, and with drum beats and shakers. It really made it a momentous occasion 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Really impressive.

I don’t have pizza that often, but when I do, I order from Farmhouse. The pizzas are fabulous. Topping are very tasty, the cheese is plentiful and it’s always cooked well. The pizza always arrives piping hot especially when ordering direct.
