Wonderful place and the staff are very helpful and knowledgable about their ales. I had the steak and kidney pie and it was beautiful and absolutely huge so take your appetite! Thanks everyone for making lunch so enjoyable.

Very disappointed. Have been going there for years but not just recently. There were no menues on the tables. We had to stand and read from a blackboard. Not very satisfactory for people who find it hard to walk. Luckily not many people were there or you would need to stand over someone’s table to be able to read it. The wine we ordered was not available and the two items we wanted on the menu were not available including cream. The fish pie was poor with just white fish and a small amount of salmon and no other fish. The mashed potato was very salty. The sticky toffee pudding was the strangest I have seen and was dry and heavy. The spotted dick had been over cooked in the microwave and was burnt and solid on the base, so was inedible. This was pointed out but no reduction was offered. We will not be returning. It is nothing like it used to be.

In summary, Belgique Café and Patisserie is a wonderful place for a sweet treat and coffee, but a touch more variety in sugar levels would make the experience even better for those who like their desserts less sweet.

Had an amazing evening here last night. Was a 50th birthday party and went down so well . Staff were retentive, got orders right and made our evening relaxing.

Always have a good meal here. Food always well presented and plentiful.

had the chicken with waffles fries sub. made terribly, contents sliding out and sauce was not evenly distributed! so parts were so dry and tasteless. waited an hour for this to....

I like their Birthday cake so much, but it is little bit expensive. And I am also happy to see them open during lockdown for takeaways.

Lovely authentic food, hotel has v. Comfy beds (hypnos) needs updating and refurb but such good food worth a meal and stay overnight ???
