Dan, Laura and all the staff are so lovely. Batch fifty two really has become an integral part of the community in Baldock. As a family we all love going there for eating in and take away drinks and snacks. All the food is delicious and made fresh on site. You should visit whenever you are in Baldock

Just stopped for a quick coffee. Excellent coffee and fabulous cakes. We had the almond croissant cookie and the carrot cake, both of which were excellent. Highly recommended!

They've changed their menu and it's even better than the last one. Great evening there as usual, have now been several times and CB never fails to impress and show us a good time. Staff very attentive and the food was excellent. Tasty and hot.

Had the Sunday Roast here with some friends who’ve recently moved into the area. The food was great, some of us had the beef and some the pork, the Yorkshire puddings were lovely and crispy and the veg and potatoes were cooked to perfection, also some extra cauliflower cheese. Food was bought out quick as it seemed quite busy , and all the staff were very friendly, overall an excellent meal and service.

Absolutely perfect service as always. The food is always delicious, my absolute favourite restaurant in Baldock. Highly recommended. Such friendly staff. This has been my favourite for over 26 years now and long may it continue.

Stopped here for a late breakfast and found a small café with friendly staff. Food was nicely served, standard English breakfast. Not a gourmet meal but quite ok.

First visit and stumbled against it looking for a decent restaurant and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The whole experience was lovely and the food gave us a taste of Greece we have missed due to Covid.

Spent £18 on two dishes and spring rolls. For the price the portions were tiny. Was surprised but too late to do anything after I’d paid. Went home, took two bites and found a piece of metal, originally thought it was a bone and when chewed through, it looked like a flattened staple. Called the take away place to tell them, they didn’t seem bothered, didn’t ask any questions and didn’t offer any refund. Didn’t finish the meal as I was disgusted, so it was a waste of money and very disappointed, never seen anything like this before. Obviously do not recommend and would never try again.

Just had our first takeaway pizzas, delivered on time, very hot, tasted delicious . Rolo cheesecake scrumptious. Will definitely order again.

Poor quality weak tea. Got charged £2.95 when I told them the tea was weak and requested stronger. Staff and management require training.

Second visit with group of friends this year. On both occasions the quality of food and service was very high. Nice atmosphere, more interesting menu that your standard Indian. Will hopefully be back in the new year!

Please note the stars are based on our dine in meal. Having seen the awards the restaurant recently won, my son treated me to a takeaway. It arrived barely warm. I took into consideration they may have been busy and the distance travelled. It looked amazing and having heated it up it was palatable. We thought it would be a good idea to attempt a dine in meal as a family! We received initial drink and pre appetisers within 10 minutes. As we had been chatting we hadn’t realised we had been left for an hour before we had ordered our meal and more drinks. Each of our drinks arrived separately which seemed a little peculiar. We had began to notice how slow the service for us was. Everyone that had arrived before us had already left. More customers that had arrived an hour or more after us were being served and some leaving having been fully served. Three separate occasions we queried where our meals were the same staff member told us the food was on its way out now. Having been there 2 hours without a meal. We asked for the bill so we can pay for what we had. We were no longer hungry and just wanted to leave. 20 minutes later a young member of staff bought the bill over and it had included what we hadn’t received. Poor lad could not apologise enough. He really was the highlight of our visit and we knew he was powerless to do anymore for us. He was ushered away with the card machine by the person that had repeatedly told us the food was coming now. He they informed us he was just going to get our meals. 10 minutes later we calculated our own bill. £60 for drinks and pre appetisers! Took it to the tills to pay. The same person told us a 4th time the food was coming out now, despite the kitchen staff all stood still in silence watching this unfold. My son stepped in and asked him to stop pushing the food and just let us pay for what we had so we could leave, only then he relented, we were then allowed to pay and leave. We were on the premises 2 hours 30 minutes in total. We did take into consideration the time of year, and may be busy. Sadly, we didn’t feel the same respect and consideration was being given to us so we will not return.

Excellent food, service and Grappa. Family atmosphere, smilley staff. The Lobster and Steak were cooked to perfection. Will return for sure.
