The best restaurants in Lancaster South North Norfolk East of England

Went out with my parents for lunch . Found a table to sit at for four had to move a tray of used cutlery . Was then greeted rudely by a member of staff who as asked why we moved this and i replied just to help , she replied move your stuff, near enough through anything left on the table at us then wiped it with a dirty cloth . Such a shame we didn’t bother ordering just left . Manners cost nothing .

Friendly service. Cleaner than the last time visited. Wifi is useless tho.

Just dire. It used to be a super restaurant but now, under younger management, it is a complete rip off. How anyone could rate this highly is beyond me. £6.10 for a small bottle of tiger beer and £7.60 for a dish of soggy cabbage and carrots. Virtually empty on a Friday evening should have been a warning sign.

My wife and I visited the store to look for a sofa. Feeling hungry, we used the restaurant. We both had salads, one ham, one prawn. We had a pot of tea & a bottle of orange. All for £21. The food was excellent, service very good. We couldn't fault the food or the restaurant.

This was our second consecutive Friday visit for the early evening bargain menu. We both had the excellent smoked haddock, leek & asparagus risotto followed by lovely mango panna cotta. Where else can you do this and (should you so choose) watch a bowls match at the same time? The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. We have also been here for our wonderful garden club annual dinners, our weekly yoga sessions and occasional coffee & sausage roll meetings with friends. How do they do it all so well? Very average coffee. The staff where nice enough, but it seems strange that a place will have "bean" in the title, yet use the cheapest, basic tasting coffee beans?

All I can say is wow! Food was out of this world and all staff friendly and helpful. Hubby and I spontaneously decided to stop for something to eat and even through they were very busy fitted us in and still the service was spot on. I am a fussy eater but nothing was to much trouble. Well done guys we will be back very soon!

Only started to visit our local Whetherspoon in Fakenham recently. On Thursday evening it was very busy and despite only one person taking the food to tables the service was still quick. The staff were pleasant and well presented. The food was reasonably priced and included a drink. Quality of food was as good as you would get in a good pub. The coffee is very good and for £1 you can have as many as you want. I like the idea there is no music as it encouraged people to talk to each other. So all in all a good experience at a Whetherspoon pub.

Popped in for Sunday lunch. It was dreadful! Cold limp veg,cold roast potatoes ,the veg looked like it had been taken off someone else's plate after they had finished with it.The only good bit was the lump of beef.
