We were walking along the street on a Friday evening and heard the folk music so popped in. I wasn't sure what was going on but it was a folk evening where people come along and play ad hoc. We weren't sure if they sold alcohol but they had an extensive choice and we ordered two martini's which were lovely and good value. I had a coffee which was lovely . The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly.

My partner and myself have stayed here on many occasions over the last 12 years, including the last Christmas. The manager Adam and his partner Nat can never do enough for you, easily the most accommodating manager we've had during these visits. We have never had any issues with our stays, even after experiencing squirrels in the loft last Christmas they up graded us to a superior room....... a great touch as it didn't really bother us and only mentioned it so that they were aware of the problem. Chrismas dinner was well executed and again with no issues. I even left 3 t-shirts behind and Adam sent them to me, eventhough I didn't ask and just assumed that I had lost them through my stupidity..... well done guys !!!! Looking forward to their refit in April and already have booked our next visit shortly after. Again cannot recommend this place more, so give it a try. Cheers guys, Paul & Debs

Very average experience. Staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed, subsequently the service wasn’t great. The food was obviously mass produced and very average. One dish was very salty and the bread was terrible. Overpriced for what it is. We wanted to try it but will not be returning- we will go to a proper curry house next time we want to eat Indian food.

I had the same experience as Rebecca Draper. I've loved the potato surprise since I first had it nearly 30 years ago, and make a point of visiting almost every time I visit Bury. But when I visited a couple of weeks ago there was no discernable spiciness to the coating. And the potatoes certainly as fully-cooked as they needed to be.

A tasteless fish and chips.. dry chips... had to fight to get a mug of tea. The outer kitchen (where the teas and coffees are made) looked in great need of a high pressure hose... The young woman that took our order was short, fat and spotty, totally unsmiling and dedicated to being unhelpful... grumpy and snappy when asked a direct question.. My partner ordered a salad.. a bland and tasteless salad. We were allowed mugs for our tea at the third time of asking... one was dirty.. What a disaster!
