Lovely food but expensive, only go there for an Xmas treat

Dreadful. Couldn’t get hold of restaurant to confirm timings etc / couldn’t even cancel order when it was half an hour late. Serious lack of communication. Not impressed.

Truly amazing! Short notice booking for daughters 20th birthday on today's date, attentive, polite, great food, very happy the staff brought out a complementary chocolate cake with birthday music this gesture is why I'm coming back. Many thanks Tarla restaurant.

There were four of us visiting on a weekday, we spent a total of £45.38 for one main dish each, one dessert (that we split four ways) and one soft drink each. Neither of us is a Korean food aficionado, but we give it four stars across the board, because the portions, in our opinion, were a bit too small for the price that was being charged, and the dessert menu was lackluster (out of four desserts listed, two were out of stock). However, what we did have was tasty and the servers (though not very experienced) were enthusiastic about their jobs. So to summarise, it's worth visiting once, just so that you have experienced what the Korean food its like at Gang Nam Restaurant, so we don't regret going, but we saw no real reason to be returning our custom.

Service was really attentive and polite, Food was delicious and fast to arrive. Wanted something slightly different to the menu and was no problem at all, really good value for money food was delicious and inexpensive ! Never been before but would 100% recomend little hidden gem!

Lovely service and great food. I had the mixed lamb dish and salad which was very tasty and filling. I will definitely visit here again when I’m back in Stevenage!

What a great night out!! Myself and a friend decided to have some Christmas drinks and I can honestly say we had such a a good night! We will 100% be back!

Ordered cod roe chips and a battered sausage which was enemic batter was under cooked. Cod Roe was soggy under cooked and an inedible mess. Chips were obviously pre cooked and reheated . Won't be visiting this chippy again . Poplars is much better quality all round. (Picture proof attached)

21Jun2024 Great little cafe, serving the basic traditional English meals and all-day-breakfasts. Cafe benefits from a large south-facing window, so lots of light. The window also faces one of the pedestrian thoroughfares of Stevenage New Town, so lots of opportunities for people-watching, and a respite place from the bustle of the central square and the Westgate centre. Right next to the indoor market and Lenny's Fish shop, so perfectly placed for a cheeky cappuccino while shopping for food.

Very good service I had the chicken burger who was the best burger ever. I recommend it to anyone Just visit on Friday for the karaoke night and have some drinks

This place is a go to for dinners if you feel like you want a perfect cuisine. Ali, my server, was a very nice man and very communicative with me and my family and he and Mahima completely uplifted our invigorating experience.

We`ve been here on a few occasions and always found everything to be good but this time it was quite poor. Firstly, we prebooked a table and was shown to it only to be standing around whilst the lady made it up for us. Once seated we waited for ages to be asked if we wanted a drink and everything else after took ages too from the starters to the mains. Very slow service. I`m guessing they were very short staffed on this occasion? Also, if you visit the toilets take your coat with you as there is no heating in them and they`re absolutely freezing!!

This was a very enjoyable find. Went there for the first time last week with my daughter and husband. The coffee was excellent and well priced. The food was very good and tasty. Service quick and it was busy. Obviously popular with locals, always a good sign. Going back again soon.
