The best restaurants in Takeley and the Canfields Uttlesford East of England

New owners. At last somewhere local to have a coffee in a legitimate business offering great breakfast, lunch and brunch options.

This was my second visit to your country kitchen, I can highly recommend. The food is delicious, and the staff/ owners are so helpful and friendly. Thank you ladies

Everything is fine but the eggs benedict I ate. The worst i have ever had. Plain bread with cold from fridge ham with the egg and sauce

Rooms definitely outdated and do not match the photos on the site. Bathroom was dirty. Bed uncomfortable and squeaky.

The pub was very busy when we arrived and extremely noisy. Happily we found a small area towards the back of the restaurant where a lovely gentleman named David was working. Welcoming people and taking orders. Such a gentleman. Calm, efficient, took the time to explain ways of payment. A noisy group of youngsters were spoken to quietly, immediate reduction in volume. Our food arrived surprisingly quickly considering how busy it was. Everything was hot, cooked well, and nicely presented, 2 drinks, fish and chips, ham, mushroom pizza plus side salad, £42, happy with that. And excellent service, thank you David x

A lush little eatery where you can almost forget that you’re in an airport. There is plenty of staff here who are very friendly and welcoming. The service was very good and very professional. The decor was classically colourful and vibrant, setting a warm relaxing vibe. There are plenty of tables and several cosy booths. The food caters well for all with a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes as well as meat dishes, and the food is fresh and very tasty. Good selection of hot and cold drinks too. We shared a pot of tea, a baba Ghanouj, a falafel, and a halloumi and tomato with a yemini salsa. Then we shared an orange cake. Banging food, super tasty! Sorry…we forgot to take any pictures of our food, we were too busy stuffing our faces 😬🐽 A little expensive – nearly £10.00 for a dessert – but we would highly recommend this eatery to anyone looking for a more authentic and traditional cuisine when at London Stansted Airport. This place has no idea how to treat a customer, service was absolutely shocking, when I complained I was meet with nothing but aggressiveness and would not let my dog eat here

Very basic very slow starters and mains brought together, junior waiting staff not a clue! Food - I’ve had a better pie in a football ground, served with cold fries and shrivelled peas, v unappetising

Had a couple of cocktails before going for food. Staff were very pleasant and made good drinks. You are sat in the middle of the lounge if that bothers you. Prices reflect airport prices, 3 drinks at £34.

If that’s a Cornish pasty then I have no idea how they are so popular. This was heavy tasteless and virtually inedible. I binned it for a burger - never again!

Fast service from counter. Had Greens and Grains Chicken Salad and baked fries. Very nice food at busy airport landside. Plenty of seating in shared area.

A nice relaxing branch of Caffè Neros. A bit of a wait but was lucky to get a seat & table, so no biggie. The Latte was nice though I've had better elsewhere & the chicken & Bacon toastie was very good. Would definitely visit again. ☘️

I had an excellent experience at the Itsu shop at Stansted Airport. The food was fresh, delicious, and exactly what I needed for a quick and healthy meal before my flight. A special shout-out to Tomas, Evan, and Martin, who went above and beyond with their service. They were incredibly friendly, efficient, and attentive, making sure everything was perfect during my visit. Tomas greeted me with a warm smile, Evan was super helpful when I had questions about the menu, and Martin made sure the entire place was running smoothly. Their teamwork and professionalism truly stood out, and they made the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by this Itsu location for great food and even better service!
