The best restaurants in Watford East of England

The best burger I've ever had! I had it in their food truck but can't wait to visit the shop. Great food made by a great guy who really cares about what he's selling. To be honest I'm not sure if there's any point in having any other burgers because I'll only be disappointed.

Truly deserves 5 stars in all aspects. Delivers what it says on the tin. Great ambience, bright, airy and modern in beautiful setting. Great cafe style food and wonderful service. Rocky our waiter was wonderful - very attentive and friendly. A hidden gem I would say.

We had a lovely meal here. Fresh, home cooked food. The prawns and mussels to start were delicious, even the bread on the side. My partner had the fillet steak for main, and I had the homemade lasagne. Yum. Washed down with a bottle of pinot grigio, it was a perfect lunch. Service was also great!

Best burger in town by miles. Hard to believe this place doesn't have ques outside. Service is friendly and welcoming, food is tasty, place is clean, prices affordable. What else you can ask.

Ate here with a group for dinner and even before entering we were taken aback by the outside decor and lighting. Inside it was even more beautiful, bright and cosy. The staff were very attentive and took great care when taking our orders- there were 24 of us. The staff took extra care with allergies and made recommendations. The food came very quickly and the portions were not only generous but also were exquisitely presented. The flavours were strong and delicious. The variety of items on the menu were also plenty to choose from. We had the best time, so will definitely recommend.

Cafe run by Mencap within the Central Library. Wifi and computers available to use. Coffee and toasted teacakes were really good.

I go here before the football and it's seriously the best chicken burger going and trust me I've had a lot around the country. Shop is always clean too and very well run.

The lightest, hottest Paratha! Gorgeous Paneer Masala, Thali and of course, the lightest, flakiest dosas to wrap it all up in. A hidden gem and a wonderful NYE in Watford Market. Thanks to the team for making us feel so at home and a Happy 2025 to you all. Long live Watford Dosa!

This hidden gem cafe is an absolute delight! Best food and drink I’ve eaten in Watford for years. Everything is freshly made, and the menu is varied between hot and cold, small bites to bigger meals. Best hot chocolate ever, actually tasted like chocolate. The staff are friendly, polite and efficient. Basically a wonderful place to eat if you like fresh quality good food, and the cakes are amazing too.
