The best restaurants in Lambeth London

I cannot believe the number of good reviews for this restaurant. I stumbled across this place while walking around Lambeth in late 2022. It was in Church grounds and I thought it would be a good place to get some lunch and a coffee/tea. Besides being ridiculously expensive (lunch options minimum of 40 pounds) the staff were incredibly rude/snooty to me. Not sure if this was because I was on my own or didn't look like I belonged there because I wasn't old and rich (it's not like I'm poor?) They sat me at the worst table next to the bins and cutlery, where I had a 12 pound carrot soup with a slice of bread (which I think was extra cost?) and a 6 pound cup of tea. I do not recommend this place, especially if you had children with you (which luckily I did not). Worst restaurant experience of my life.

Zumbura is an excellent fusion Indian in Clapham Old Town, close to Clapham Common. The menu is great with lots of choice and some unique dishes. The restaurant has a good set-up with a very nice bar. All this and the prices are very good also. Go visit!

Ordered food, was not expecting it to be so different in taste. It was horrible. Never eating at wimpy again.

Came in and waited to be greeted after smiling and saying hello. There was 1 person waiting for a coffee and another person already eating a sandwich. 5 people behind the till yet no one said good morning or be with you in a minute. Sorry but I’m not spending money in a place that doesn’t even acknowledge you’ve walked in the door. So rude!

Comí aquí con mi pareja el viernes por la noche.Para empezar, tuve el yogur de berenjena, que venía con pan de molde y un poco de ensalada, encantador y refrescante.Para los platos principales tuve el cordero torsh, y mi compañero tenía las verduras asadas con arroz con azafrán, ambos excelentes.El postre era helado persa, que acaba de terminar la comida muy bien.Hay un variado menú de bebidas, muchos vodkas (un poco sorprendente para un restaurante persa). Y había una amplia selección de bebidas no alcohólicas, que no probamos en esta ocasión, pero lo haríamos en el futuro, sonaban muy bien.El servicio estaba bien, no me puedo quejar. Un montón de espacio entre las mesas, no nos sentimos agobiados.Sin duda volveremos, si estamos en la zona.

I’ve always enjoyed Pret A Manger for their high-quality coffee, but my recent visit was made even better by the exceptional service from Junaed. Not only was the coffee perfectly brewed—rich, smooth, and just the way I like it—but Junaed’s professionalism and friendly attitude made the experience stand out. He was attentive, quick to take care of my order, and made sure everything was spot on. It’s clear he takes pride in providing excellent service, and it really enhances the overall atmosphere of the café. If you’re looking for great coffee paired with top-tier service, Junaed at Pret A Manger is the one to look out for. Highly recommend!

I am a local resident in this area and I decided to see what the deli was about, so I asked if their sandwiches are fresh and heated, and the male who answered [ A overweight White Man with tattoos specifically on his arm] was very disrespectful when answering that simple question - rolled his eyes at me, and bluntly said we get them from the fridge. Just bad energy unfortunately

Volví a la pizzería "Bravi Ragazzi", y como siempre, fue una experiencia excepcional. El lugar combina perfectamente un ambiente cálido con la auténtica calidad de la verdadera pizza napolitana. Un saludo especial - a Giovanni, el pizzaiolo: su habilidad nunca deja de sorprenderme. Cada pizza es una obra maestra, con una corteza suave y sabrosa y los ingredientes más frescos y de la más alta calidad. Puedes sentir la pasión que vierte en su trabajo, y eso realmente hace la diferencia. Recomiendo probar su Margherita o una de sus pizzas especiales – no te arrepentirás. Para mí, se ha convertido en una oportunidad: ir a Londres cada vez que anhelo una pizza auténtica. Bravo Giovanni y todo el equipo!
