The best restaurants in Custom House Newham London

Would highly recommend. The food is very tasty with good sized portions and it is all very reasonably priced. Ignore the bad reviews.

Food is very average, decor is lovely but waiters are rude and slow. We had to ask twice to get small bowls to share the dishes, a standard for any Cantonese restaurant. We still didnt get the spoons. Had to ask again, still didn't get the small Chinese spoons that fit the bowls, only large wester spoons that are too big and flat to use the bowls we got (the correct spoons were there, we could see them on the counter, so its not like they dodmt have them!). Each time the waiters interacted with us they behaved as if we were crazy or difficult. Not providing the basic cutlery one expects from a Chinese restaurant aside, we ordered sharing dishes in large sharing bowls, how did they expect us to eat them?... I'd much rather walk to YiBan for much better food and good service. Here I was made to feel like a nuisance. We won't be coming again.

Phoned on the 26th to book a table for breakfast on the 30th. Was told they don't book breakfast and just to walk in. Arrived on the 30th was told they don't accept walk ins. When I said we were told to walk in on the 26th was told they had decided yesterday. Disappointing waste of time.

Very slow service, over 30 minutes for a cold salad. Which when it arrived turned out to be torn up bits of lettuce with chunks of smoked salmon.

La comida estaba bien, pero nada fuera de lo común, aunque todo bastante caro, incluido el café. Parece que otra cadena está perdiendo su enfoque y comerciando con el éxito temprano de River Cottage. Nuestra memoria duradera fue el servicio extremadamente pobre, muy lento, con el personal más interesado en sus teléfonos móviles o en conversar entre ellos. Si desea una experiencia River Cottage, no la encontrará aquí. . . . . . . todo muy corporativo ahora, una gran pena! ! ! ! ! !

The food was tasty, the service good. It was quiet on a Wednesday night, which suited us. Sadly I left my rain jacket there and when I enquired later it had vanished without trace.

OK so there was a few events going on at the Excel centre any maybe the staff were rushed but that’s no excuse for what can only be described as the worst chicken sandwich in the world. One thick tomato slice, chicken that had zero flavour and over cooked. A slice of onion as an after thought. I would put a quarantine sign around this place it’s that bad. Staff are OK but the owner / manager needs to look at the quality of the food being served especially at the extortionate prices they are charging. If it’s a choice of staying hungry or eating here stay hunger. It’s the safer choice. Avoid at all costs and look for something else.

Un colega y yo organizamos estratégicamente un día en la oficina para poder ir a la nueva tienda Sandwich Sandwich en Londres. La cola era enorme, pero se movía bastante rápido y el personal regularmente salía para actualizarnos y darnos la opción de recoger artículos listos hechos de las neveras bien surtidas. Bueno, llegamos al principio de la cola frente al mostrador de delicatessen más impresionante que he visto. Increíbles selecciones, un personal encantador, cálido y amable que no teme tener bromas mientras compilan los sándwiches monstruosos juntos. Fue una experiencia agradable. Opté por el crujiente de atún y el malvavisco y Nutella Cronut. El bocadillo sabía tan bien como estéticamente agradable, era el peso de un bebé recién nacido! Mantuve el cronut y lo tuve más tarde en la noche y WOW, que gran combinación de sabores y texturas. 8 horas después y todavía sabía tan bien como se acababa de hacer. Me encanta este lugar y voy a correr la voz a lo largo y ancho! ¡Gracias por hacer que nuestra experiencia a la hora del almuerzo sea tan buena!

Terrible food not even canteen level.

NV subway has the worst management ever they aren’t replying to employees email they mentally harassed the employees and sell all the expired items. I would like to bring this in notice to the owner that i can take this to HMRC or Social Media if i dont receive any revert
