The best restaurants in Neville's Cross County Durham North East

I went to Jumping Bean last week in a group of 4 and we ordered the Nachos, Currywurst Hot Dog, Stacked Burger and Texas Burger. All mains were delicious and everything was devoured in no time, even by my sceptical meat-eating friends who were very pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be returning for some more moreish vegan fast food!

This would be a super bar anywhere in town. That it is at Durham station is a huge plus for train travellers. There was a good beer choice and I really enjoyed the Session IPA from Almasty which was my first beer from this brewery. I'm keen to try more! Durham is a great day out on the train that is made better by this station bar.

Well we have been here loads of times and has always been good. Went today Fri 29th March 2024, Ok it’s Good Friday but you would think they would be prepared. After a bit of a wait watching people get served that came in after us, a waitress came over and took our order but there was only small fish and no large, well call me a conspiracy theorist but the small fish was half a large fish so where were they getting the small fish from 🤔. It was plain to see that it was all to do with money as the small fish was £7 something and the large was £12 odd… so along came our meals and it was ridiculous a bit of fish 4” x 6” and about 15 chips if that. Well I’m sorry but we won’t be back ever for the sake of making an extra few quid you’ve lost two regulars… plus gave the girl a £5 tip before we got the food and she didn’t even say thanks! Shame on you

Nicely maintained, convenient. My son was taking tennis lessons. Nice and quite. Have nice little cafe with good food.

Went on the 25/1/25. Restaurant was quiet time of the year I suppose, but personally I couldn't fault the place., staff amazing, chef came to our table, asking about the food, was lovely. Definitely recommend, and it's 2 mins to your room in adjacent hotel. Great value.

Ordered from here loads before and always been really nice - today the salt and pepper chips were literally tasteless…..Katsu chicken burger was so salty it was inedible. Really disappointing as used to be my favourite takeaway

Siempre disfruté de una visita a los colpitts. Generalmente agradable compañía, entorno y un incendio de carbón. Pero ahora han decidido que no se permiten perros. Así que tuve que fallar. Parece una decisión extraña pero los propietarios eligen. Vergüenza masiva como siempre ha sido tan acogedor en el pasado!

Absolutely disgusting experience. Sat at a table minding our own business when a bunch of women claimed we were in their seats. We sat at those seats for close to 45 minutes. These women who are clearly used to getting their own way made lies about our group to the security. Luckily a random person noticed the disgusting behaviour of this group of bullies and come to our aid with security. Unfortunately it was a waste of time as I was taken outside to be told that these women know the bar staff and owners! Clearly knowing the owners means that you can bully and gang up on people who are just trying to enjoy their night! Security was clearly scared of these people and was fine to let my sister be emotional with the experience! What an absolute joke of a place, clearly knowing the bar staff and thinking they own the place means more than everyday normal people trying to enjoy their night! **UPDATE** No more than 30 minutes ago, please check your cameras. Thank you to Anna and her team. We are just back from a 2 night stay. Stayed In room 7, very spacious and clean with everything we could need. Breakfast was fantastic cooked to order with great quality ingedients with buffet style options available too. Also the Indian restaurant onsite was lovely great menu and cocktails. All the staff provided great service especially Anna who went above and beyond to make our break special and personalised. Location is fab and pricing is spot on for whats included. We would not hesitate too book again at this fabulous guest house!!!!

We received a very warm welcome here today and enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea with prosecco. The sandwiches were gorgeous and the sweets nicely present. Surroundings were smart and it was cozy on a chilly afternoon. Will be back.

had a bottomless brunch booked for 3/1/2024 at 1pm, the establishment failed to inform us that they weren’t opening until 3pm after letting us book in for brunch and taking the deposit from us. poor communication from management with an email at 2.30pm informing us that they weren’t opening until 3pm

Horrible food. Loads of skin in meal and chicken was slimy. Not nice at all so I wouldn’t recommend. Don’t bother to go here.
