Then check out this amazing place for a private party for Christmas with a twist. Booked for 15 for a family Christmas get together, what can I say .. fabulous night, food was exceptional, drinks were something else.. (got to give the gin and vodka teapots a go), also the cocktails and mocktails for the kids.…fabulous. Staff had permanent smiles and nothing was too much trouble for them. Beautiful surroundings. Would not hesitate to recommend this little gem 100% Thank you Jane and the girls for a truly wonderful night.

The Nook area of South Shields is the second largest shopping area, in fact with closures decimating the high street, the nook is probably the place to be for top up shopping, takeaways and sandwich shops etc. We fancied a sandwich and had passed Munchies a few times. Ironically it’s a few doors from a subway and nearby Greggs. Deciding to support the local shop, we entered Munchies, it’s tiny with a table and two chairs outside but the menu of sandwiches, panini is, breakfasts seemed endless. Lady serving was really friendly and gave us time to choose. Both my chicken chilli panini and husbands sausage mushroom and brown sauce, were ideal for lunch. Will go back again when I have the munchies!

Sandwich was lovely could of been cut in half but never mind. Loads of filling.

Go monthly for Sunday Lunch and it’s always been top notch, staff very friendly and always willing to help, been during the week also, nothing but praise for the customer service.

Had a horrific experience from here recently. Appreciate that’s a strong word, but no other way to describe it. Ordered a vegetarian pizza only, but took it home to find it wasn’t what I ordered. I called thinking they would apologise and send out another. Instead, the manager goes that he has put on extra ham and chicken and starts laughing. You can hear his colleagues also laughing. I was genuinely appalled and said that it was no laughing matter. He continued to laugh and then put the phone down. No idea why they chose me to play this prank. Will be complaining to headquarters.

Little hidden gem, Went here with my family tonight, would definitely be returning staff were very friendly & food was amazing very good presentation. Reasonably priced too. Lovely place looking forward to going back!

There are so many restaurants that do takeaways also that choosing something different is difficult sometimes. We decided on Pizza Corner as liked the choices and were very impressed. Two pizzas, delivered on time and hot to eat. Pepperoni and bolognese pizzas with added toppings, lovely.

This is my second experience using this take away and yes I was very happy with the food it arrived hot and full of flavour. I certainly will be using again. It is not only good value with the food choice being of high standard.

We’ve gone to Superfry for quite awhile, but since it’s been taken over the quality has become incredibly poor. Ordered 2 items and they forgot one! Chicken was so dry it verged on inedible and even the chips were undercooked but yet soggy? I will not be returning Waste of calories

We got pizza delivery as we have had many times. The pizza tonight was dry with hardly any topping which was only in the centre of the pizza. Will not get delivery again. Better to go and collect then do your own quality check!
