Always try and visit this pub whenever we come up to Sunderland. Friendly pub and proper landlord. Great jukebox,range of beers and sky sports.

Visitamos su restaurante en Nochebuena, que hemos hecho un par de veces. Estaba muy decepcionado y molesto por la forma en que nos trataron. 1 calle nos pidieron que fuéramos en el bar ya que nuestra mesa no estaba lista lo que está bien ya que es un momento muy ocupado (tuvimos que pararnos como no hay asientos) , nos sentamos 15 minutos después. Una vez que nuestra comida y bebidas fueron ordenados tuvimos un tiempo encantador, PERO mientras algunos de nuestro grupo todavía estaban comiendo que habían terminado platos fueron tomados tan rápido haciendo que otros se sintieran incómodos y esto fue extremadamente poco profesional y molesto. Una vez terminada nuestra comida (en 1 hora) nos pidieron que nos moviéramos a la barra ya que necesitaban la mesa! ! ! ! Teniendo en cuenta que la mesa de al lado había estado ante nosotros y NO se les pidió que se fueran, lo que mencioné esto a la camarera para que me dijeran que mi gerente me pidió que te preguntara! Servicio muy desagradable con 0 de atención al cliente, ni una sonrisa en ninguna cara! Y me gustaría saber por qué nos pidieron que nos moviéramos después de una hora y no una mesa que estaba allí antes que nosotros. No es un buen comienzo de Navidad Envié un email pero no respondí.

This should have a sign no laptops allowed!!! Short stay café!!! It's-2 degrees and I turn up at the recommendation of a local garage. Order coffee. I take out my laptop, and then the owner turns red. Apparently, someone hijacked a seat for 7 hours. For a shop this size, I understand this is a big deal. But I don't understand is the generalisation that people who need sit in the shop and work for 1 hour or so are idiots. That is unacceptable 😤!!! All the shop owner has to do is post at the door, no remote working here. Seats are a premium maximum stay 30min or 1 hour. Also you can charge people to stay longer. Anyway, my experience has not been the greatest for obvious reasons. As a business person, you never know who you are dealing with, be kind. Can you imagine he threatened to close the shop because of me. No need, I left in a might rush!!!

Mis amigos y yo tuvimos una reunión en The Wolsey esta mañana. Ser celíaco es un poco doloroso, por decir lo menos, pero todo el personal de los servidores a los gerentes eran increíbles. Me sentí en muy buenas manos con su cuidado y atención. A pesar de que probablemente era un dolor 🫣, el personal fue muy servicial al permitirme sentir que podía disfrutar con confianza del brunch más delicioso, a pesar de mis problemas dietéticos que tristemente pueden hacer que comer fuera un gran desafío. Qué equipo tan increíble, muchas gracias de nuevo.

¡El mejor Fish&Chips que he tenido... y he tenido más de mi parte de chips! Pescado de primera calidad, rebozado encantador y patatas fritas perfectas. Servicio brillante también

What an amazing venue! From the moment you walk into Carnival House you feel instantly at ease, it has such a warm and relaxed vibe. They have so many amazing things going on, I most recently visited for their Paint n’ Plonk night, which was fantastic! They have a well stocked bar with a great cocktail menu, and all the staff are super friendly and so welcoming. There is even a mini market/store with lots of amazing hand crafted products and unique pieces on offer. We can’t wait to come back and sample the food, which all looked unreal! I highly recommend calling into this place, whether it’s for a cuppa, a meal, or one of their many fantastic events ☺️

Disfrutamos de una comida familiar aquí en un viernes por la noche ocupado. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente y lo más importante , extremadamente amable. Una mención especial a Claire que fue particularmente útil, un verdadero mérito para el equipo. Gracias a todos

Does anyone know if the Riverview brasserie restaurant over at the Stadium of light in Sunderland is still open or not. Because me and my dad are about to go there for a Father's Day lunch out on the 18th June and every time me and my dad kept on phoning them it just ends up with nobody answering the phone. So could someone kindly send me a reply message back and let me know to see if the Riverview brasserie restaurant at the stadium of light in Sunderland to see if it's open or not.

This is a great coffee shop even better if you have young kids. In and our door play. Food and drink is of your standard range and price of any good coffee shop. Staff are helpful and friendly we visit with our little one all the time. They also have great range of activities. Workshops. Fun days for the local community. The donation box for the play area is optional So please ignore the poor review this is a place for people to relax and enjoy snobs won't get that the aim of this place is. A must visit

Very delicious food and good customer service.

This has been our local Chinese for about 3 years and we absolutely love it! Best one in the local area by FAR! Have tried so many others local and they don't come anywhere close. The chicken wings are amazing, main dishes are always tasty with decent amount of meat in them and they always have our food ready really quickly. Everyone we have recommended this to says the same as us and has made it their local too! This one takes some beating.

Awful, hours late for delivery and cold food

Excellent food & service, I’ve ordered from here for a number of years now & im still to have a bad meal, price is great most places are overpriced but here it’s reasonable, highly recommend trying here you’ll not be disappointed

Munchies is a place where value is king – but it's not at the expense of quality. I've bought many salads from here because they're fresh every day. In fact all food is freshly made each day. Many cooked items are done when you order rather than being stuffed under a heat lamp. I recommend the hot meals too, such as mince and dumplings and the various curries on offer. It's fantastic value and tasty, no matter what you buy. I used to use a cafe in a nearby business centre, but on finding Munchies I stopped. Why? Because of the freshness!
