The best restaurants in Blackburn with Darwen North West

I'm an old fart and been going here for the past 40 yrs. Realy nice turkish used to own it then, sadly no longer. Every time you go these days, the guys serving are either chilling in the back or on their phones. My most recent visit stsrted with a mistake on behalf of the guy serving. Then another and finally resulting in me having to return to the shop for a third mistake. There is absolutely no customer servicenin this place. Just take it or tuff sh!^#. Sadly after 40 yrs i wont be going again.

Not been for a while so dropped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Got to say the staff and team were welcoming, professional and attentive to the table. The food was excellent wholesome homemade dishes. We had four different dishes and each of them was of the finest quality. I would highly recommend a visit to this Pub, for all ages. The pricing is also spot on and I will be going again with family and friends.

Awesome food. The fries were nice the burger was tasty and the milkshake was refreshing and tasty. It is expensive but the food is really good.

Fantastic meal for us all. Jason the owner and his team helped me and my family get our car out of the snow as we were stuck in snow and ice on arrival. Otherwise we would have had to wait till 1am for the RAC to come out. So special thanks to Jason and his team for their care and support to enable us to get home safely. We will be eating there again as people who go the extra mile for me are worth visiting again and will receive my business.

food was delivered hot and it was delicious. delivery no problem.

Thankyou to Lilly who tidied our table and served our food. Lovely girl.. there was 20 of my family including babies. She looked after us at every part of our meal... the food was good except the fish was a bit overcooked.. batter wasn't too good and no mushy peas 😕 apart from that great !!! thankyou Lilly ❤️

Since the old mother redcap changed hands to Stonehouse inns I can honestly say the experience and the food have been nothing else but absolutely amazing. We had carvery all you can eat I had all three meats gammon, turkey and beef and they were all cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth all the veg was delicious and so was the gravy. This was my second visit and it didn't disappoint from the first visit. 4 happy family members and we will be back no doubt. A shout out to the fabulous staff members for looking after us.

Thick KFC is much improved, I was here in past when it was run by different staff , It's now cleaner with a happier work team. Customer service and food presentation much better, I know it's all in bags and box's, but it was placed neatly as apposed to dumped on the tray . Well done KFC team And a extra thanks to Aelia which I am sure I spelt wrong .thanks

I ordered a pizza and peri melt and shocking to receive the food like stone cold. Totally disappointed. Had to warm the pizza and the melt still couldn’t finish it as it’s never the same when you have to reheat food. They definitely lost their touch. Tried calling never picked up. Even chips were cold. I think we may have been the last service. As ordered at 8:30 to pick up in 10 min he said. Which I found very shocking.

Went out for an Indian .the place is extremely clean. The food is hot and tasty. Plenty of choices. Very organized. 10/10

Found this café again as we had a lovely experience before a few years ago. Great service & lovely food. Good quality food & decent prices. The cakes looked lovely but too full of jacket potatoes, coleslaw & salad. Go there they are brilliant

Lovely little village shop, lovely service, this is why 3 stars, we have been 3 times and sadly our last, the ice cream is poor considering it is supposed to be premium, water crystals in the ice cream on each visit with all flavours tried weak in taste, cherry, rum & raisin, cookie dough, white chocolate and more. I don’t like writing reviews like this but the ice cream is not good enough and that goes for what is sold at the new shop in Abbey village. Find a better premium ice cream or change the method of making.

Actually ordered a takeaway from here last night for the first time. Thought the prices were a little high but as it's a restaurant first I expected that. Ordered 2 currys, 2 starters, nan bread and poppadoms. I never eat a full portion of curry so usually throw it away as I don't like left overs, however this was so good I ate the rest this evening. So tasty probably the best curry I've had in a very long time and the first time I have ever finished it the day after. Will be ordering again for sure.

The staff were fantastic, particular mention to Sophie who’s advice regarding ordering was spot on, the food was excellent.

This place is great for a night out because it has a wide variety of food for us which spoils us for choice and they recommend us the best
