Amazing food, amazing service would recommend it to everyone. Quality products used which is evident in the taste. Very popular so order early to ensure they don’t sell out!!

What a welcoming, well run little gem. Oozing with historical beauty but with a updated eclectic decor combining modern and antique furnishings, it is cosy, intimate and warm. Lovely menu, with leanings towards local produce and favourites. The staff are such an asset - young, knowledgeable and attentive, happy to accommodate any requests. Enjoyed our mains of ribeye and Lancs fish pie, followed by cheeseboard with port and Eton mess with coffee. My Eton mess a little over whisked and coffee a let down, but thoroughly enjoyed whole experience and looking forward to eating again.

Definitely recommend staying at this lovely hotel. It's boutique size and decor make it very homely, and the finishing touches, for example, access to communal kitchenette, jar of sweets in room, just add to the experience. A great find, and will definitely stay again.

Went here for the first time as a family, cafe is lovely as were the staff, unfortunately some of the food we ordered wasn't the standard I would of expected after reading the reviews.

Not happy with the food the liver was under done and my partners pork was under done aswell puddings were not very warm staff were friendly it was ashame this place had good reviews won't be go again

Every visit has been a joy and last night we celebrated my wife's 70th birthday with a family meal. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like royalty. The food and service was as usual EXCELLENT. Waitress was friendly and happy and we felt part of her family. She went out of her way to make my wife feel special. A lovely young lady. I can only award 5 stars but really this Dores not do justice to the restaurant, staff and fabulous cuisine. Thank you.

This establishment is so friendly , awsome owners and friendly clientele. I only pop in for a pint wen passing on my bike but as a stranger I always feel proper welcome cause they chat to me me whether I chat first or not. The HARE AND HOUNDS is a place to be I dont know if they do food but if they did I'm 100% sure it would satisfy

THE best Pizza in the area, bar none. We know our Pizza, we have had them all from far and wide. Serrano’s is right up there - the best I’ve had in this country, the delivery drivers are superb. We are quite remote and to say the food has travelled, it is always fresh and delicious. A huge thank you and well done, you are the best.

I have been coming here for years and will be coming for more. The things that keep me coming back are the atmosphere, the staff, and the food. We order the set meals every time and leave stuffed and very satisfied. I greatly enjoy the food and the staff. Also, for me it is reasonably close.

What an unusual discovery? Seemed a strange destination but proved a wonderful find! A tempting and varied menu allowing plenty of healthy choices as well some calorific treats. All delicious and inexpensive. Staff were all friendly and attentive . Food was served hot and nicely presented in an unhurried environment. It’s more of a cafe than restaurant but relaxing place to meet friends and enjoy their home cooking.

We went as a family had fish chips peas sausage curry sauce cheese puffs gravy between us delicious lightly battled fish chips cooked to perfection all served with a smile The best and friendliest chippy around

First order for New years eve Meal. Food arrived hot, good tasty food, all the family enjoyed thier meals. Special fried rice ...loved it. Will be ordering again.
