Popped in midwalk & the place was reassuringly busy. Super friendly bar staff, good choice of beers. What's not to like! Recommended.

Toilets not serviced. No toilet roll. Water on the floor. Toilet roll over floor. Dirty toilets.

5 ⭐️ Carvery & 5 ⭐️ Service Visited for lunch to meet friends half way. Great location just off the M6. Staff really friendly and let us keep our table even though friends were running an hour late. Carvery was fantastic and the atmosphere in the pub is really friendly & relaxed. Thanks very much 😃

This is one of the best restaurants we have visited. The personnel can’t do enough for you especially Pan and Angie. We have been here 3 months in a row and each time Pam and Angie have been superb ambassadors for the hotel

The place looks nice from the outside and when you get in it doesn’t disappoint with lovely old beams and pleasant staff but! The menu is tiny which can be the sign of a good restaurant but not in this case ( for some reason the appetisers come after the mains in the menu ). The food was truly awful, I can only imagine it was cooked off site in an industrial unit somewhere then packed in plastic and delivered to the pub for reheating. Really that bad!

For the third year I booked our Christmas meal at the Red Lion for 7 of us friends normally it’s been a great experience. Everything was fine with the main Xmas meal and dessert then the lovely lady who had Bern serving us came to say she was leaving at 9pm from then on everything went down hill we sat the rest of the night with our plates in front of us I eventually had to ask for the mince pies and coffee both were terrible the mince pies look like a child had made them the coffee was stewed and unless we had said I am sure the young girl who seemed to have no idea you should communicate with customers would not have cleared the main meal plates unless we had told her to. I then went to the bar for the bill as still no one been to the table to see if we wanted another drink I was ignored at the bar by the young girl so I just stayed can we have the bill the bill never came had to go back and finally complained to the manager in duty. Considering it was a Xmas meal the experience was bad and the staff only seemed interested in the large group of lads in the bar playing poker.

Good service, clean environment but £4.40 for a coffee, what the heck!

Shocking. An embarrassment to the greggs name. Went in for warm food as working outside in - 5 Jan 2025. Ordered a stake bake and sausages roll. Food was cold, total came to £5, asked the man who was serving if they had any hot food or any fresh made items on my order. I was told to use the microwave in the cafe area of the service. Asked for a refund. The man couldn't do it, needed help from female worker who only refund me £4.30. Honestly never been more disappointed. I 2025 going into a food shop to buy hot food and being told to use a microwave all for greggs to steal 70p off me. Joke. Do not use. Rude robbing staff!!!

Mum had a scone that was so overcooked it was dry. I had quiche and chips, the quiche came on a tiny little side plate so I couldn't eat it with my chips as there was no room on the plate. The quiche was bland and tasteless no seasoning or anything. The plus side is the lady who served us was lovely and very helpful.

Appalling service. Almost as if they were going out of their way to be the most inefficient that they could be. The food was horrible. I had a cold, hard baked potato with very few beans. My wife had lukewarm soup. And incredibly overpriced! Someone needs to get a grip!

Service excellent. Food probably the worst I've ever had. Scone was hard. Claimed to be fresh cherry and almond. No it was stale. When I brought this to there attention I was told it was baked that morning. I'm not stupid it wasn't. Ordered a ploughman's. They forgot the cheese was told to queue at the chefs area and he will pass me a piece.... Honestly place is rubbish. If you want class go to booths or one of the many good cafes in Knutsford. Service was polite. Just poor quality of cooking. I did bring it to the servers attention when paying and she ignored me.

Absolutely the worst services I’ve been to in a long time expensive,dirty not clean. But what topped it off was the staff at the KFC the chargehand/manager was awful and rude not just to me and other customers , Would not help with self service tills, would not take an order over the counter although it was dead! Shouted at one man for not hearing his order first time, Argued with another customer and was off with me over asking for help on self service. In top of that the food was shocking I had the Xmas stuffing stacker greasy ill presented and the lettice was turning ! Never again

Just the most disgusting chicken fillet burger I've ever eaten! Chicken was dry to the point of being unpalatable and the half jar of mayonnaise that had been poured all over it, did nothing to disguise it. Literally disgusting. And it's all well and good replying to reviews but if you don't improve anything, it's totally pointless!
