The best restaurants in Cheshire East North West

What a fantastic meal! The menu was interesting and varied. We ended up having starters mains and desserts and don't regret it! Everything was bursting with flavour! So tasty!! We cleaned our plates. Portion size was about right. Prices were good. The service was top notch! We felt really looked after. The decor of the place is pleasant and quirky. We absolutely loved it. Thank you for a great evening!

Really mad about Chilli Banana tonight. Ordered some food late so got something small to take away. Chicken satay , sticky rice with the peanut and sweet sauces. So much MSG has been used in the food (I have an allergy to it) anytime I eat MSG I cannot sleep - it’s weird because it makes me completely wired and unable to shut my brain off when sleeping. I realised after being in a half daze until 230am from 11pm that it’s that weird and unusual feeling (not just a bad nights sleep) straight away I know the culprit of this weird half awake half asleep state - MSG!! Heart beating excessively from it. Not impressed that in the UK it is not labelled as an allergen!!! It is used to enhance flavour artificially and Not all Thai restaurants use this even in Thailand. Good quality restaurants will avoid using it especially here in the UK I haven’t really had this problem. Will avoid from now really disappointed and thanks for a poor nights sleep chilli banana! The food was actually nice, probably the sauces full of it. A real shame it’s not labelled. I won’t be returning now after this.

We had a wonderful experience, the food, service and ambience were perfect. I can't remember when I last had a proper dining experience like this. 'Dinner at 8' over 3hrs of relaxed dining, actual table clothes and experianced restaurant professionals rather than waiters who don't care.

We visited The Boars Head for a Birthday Meal on a Tuesday evening and it was simply perfect. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the food was delicious. We shall definitely be back! Thank you for a lovely evening!

Wonderful authentic old building. Great atmosphere, great food and attentive service.

This is such a stunning hotel and Spa. Highly recommend the morning spa session. 100% worth the price. This place just has a special atmosphere to it which makes it so relaxing.

Always enjoy coming here to eat, wether dining with friends in an evening or just having a burger with the kids in the outside seating area in the summer. Great place.

All tables inside were reserved but the friendly member of staff checked arrival times and found us a well positioned table. Good quality food at a reasonable price.

Amazing food and service, I really recommend the sticky aubergine and halloumi burgers (they're even better than the regular burgers).

My wife and I stayed at The Roebuck Inn just before Christmas (2024). What a wonderful place and wonderful friendly service - Amy and all the team were amazing. It's a gorgeous place, great atmosphere, fantastic food, lovely quirky bedroom. We will be back!!
