The best restaurants in Marbury Cheshire West and Chester North West

This place is a real gem, delicious food, very friendly staff and it's dog friendly too. The menu selection is great but even if it's coffee and cake you're looking for, you'll be spoilt for choice.

Sólo tenía un bacon y huevos y un café, sandwichera, pero era precioso! Si todo el año y a probarlo. El personal es encantador y muy amable y acogedor. Incluso tome tarjetas para el plástico sólo clientes!

I've eaten here a few times now. inside and also takeaway and it's always been amazing food. Staff are so friendly.

This is my very favourite restaurant in the area. The food is excellent and plentiful and there is plenty of choice. The staff are cheerful and nothing is too much trouble.

We went for a drink one time and vowed to return to try the menu. Last month it was was for a Sunday lunch. It was the better than any we’ve had anywhere else. So next time, we had the Out of Africa menu. Totally blown away. It’s more than just dining. And totally brilliant. Unique, friendly and good value. Recommended!

Disappointing. We had been here earlier in the year and it was superb. This time, despite booking well in advance and giving the food order days before, we had a 45 minute wait to be served. Starter was very good, but some parts of the main course were probably just right 45 minutes earlier, sadly not when my plate turned up. Wine prices are outrageous! Fantastic visit on Saturday 28/05/2022. First off I didn’t realise the enormity of what we were asking ,20 of us adults and children rocked up at around 3 pm looking for food ,we were welcomed and we all ordered food and drinks ,think they had already had there lunchtime rush and were winding down then we turned up but there was no ,oh no what should we do . We were told to take our tables and then ordered our food ,which was fantastic the service was wonderful .most of the children ordered pizza ,my boys told me they were way better than any they had ever had from the takeaway . The beef was perfect . We stayed for a couple of hours and were made to feel so welcome .thank you red lion .we will return .but I promise to give some notice .

It makes a real change to visit a traditional old fashioned thatched cottage pub that hasn't been taken over by a pub chain. This pub is well worth a visit if you're visiting Northwich or passing through. The food is delicious and is all home cooked dishes served by friendly staff. I would definately recommend visiting this lovely pub.

Waited over 2 hours for the food to come not even warm and both burgers are oink inside!! Hate to chase the food up twice, they were not really bothered just said they were busy 😡

Booked a table for as Eve for after Christingle months ago! Phoned up booked a table for 14!! The man who took the booking said all fine and booked in. Other half phoned today to confirm booking and the woman who I can only assume as the manager informed him that she didn’t have us booked in. We explained we booked in months ago as we knew it’s very busy, but she just said nope no booking! She then proceeded to say it was our fault because we should have booked in with her!!? As though phoning months in advance and not being able to control who answers the phone is our fault! Yes we got heated on the phone as it was supposed to be a family meet up that had been arranged for a long time with kids looking forward to spending Xmas Eve with cousins!! The woman on the end of the phone could not care less she was so ‘ahh well’ sucks to be you kind of attitude!! Very upsetting as it’s been a local pub that has previously been used for family funerals/celebrations and have also used it for work Xmas meals as we live on a farm near by! Awful hospitality!!!

Had a large doner kebab on naan bread. It was very tasty and certainly large. The guy who served me was friendly. Would recommend

Excellent service. Lovely building. Food tasty...what there was of it . If you are hungry this place will not fill you or meet your needs. Small portions. And expensive.
