A great Sunday lunch with friends post a lovely festive walk. You have to book a table and good job we did. We could then park our car and return to a lovely country pub, great atmosphere, lovely food and a few beers. All 4 of our meals were very good. Plenty of food, cooked well, tasty and hot.

The new owners have done so much work to turn this local gem into a great pub once again. Very clean, friendly staff and a good beer

Enjoyed a lovely tasty Christmas lunch excellent quality and value served by pleasant friendly staff, then had car trouble and once again different staff helped us when we returned to rescue the car, the Manager and assistant even helped to push the car which was much appreciated. Myself and my elderly mother visited the gardens and I had booked afternoon tea. We arrived early which wasn’t a problem at all. The staff were excellent and very attentive. The food was really good - in fact we had to take leftovers home as there was so much! There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the afternoon tea here - I think you need to pre book this but it is definitely worthwhile.
