Does the boss ever smile? Food was okay but the boss rushing around with a face like thunder. Doesn't matter how busy you are but doesn't take much to smile

Proper home cooked food and the coffee is delicious will definitely be going back and the staff very friendly. A proper friendly place to go xxx

An excellent menu with a good variety of choices. Very unintrusive but appropriate service with friendly advice when requested. My choice of toasted Goat's cheese and salad was very tasty with a lovely dressing. The hot drinks choice was also very good. the prices were very reasonable too.

Popped in here last week with my family. It's has recently had a make over which as given the place a lovely modern look it's lovely and bright with a clean with a quirky look. Food was fantastic I had homemade lentil and bacon soup. Husband had pie pies gravy with chips. All freshly made and real chips which is a rarity these days. Son had hot bacon and cheese baguettes with chips . All cooked fresh to order and didn't wait long at all considering how busy the place was. The staff in there are so friendly and helpful. Your made to feel very welcome and the place has a lovely vibe about it. The bill was around £17 that was with 2 soft drinks and a pot of tea. Couldn't believe how cheap it was for homemade fresh food. Would recommend this wee gem to anyone .... Well done to all concerned in the sugar tongue cafe. Keep up the good work :-)

Came with a large order as no web site or telephone number to pre order advised I wasn't in any rush at all. Hot fillings were taken and prepared and then as one other person came in to shop I was advised "she didn't want to lose custom " and queues put customer off. I was told after 15 minutes the order couldn't be done and was turned away. As a customer too i will never return

The soup is delicious. Volunteers are very welcoming. Can highly recommend for a light lunch. Everything is freshly made.

Due to lockdown restrictions, Truly Scrumptious has a delivery service, so this was ordered by phone, rather than a visit to the shop. Their cream tea selections are amazing! My sister ordered this for mother's day - and since we haven't seen her since October 2020, she treated me, too! Delivery was within a 2-hour time slot, and arrived in good time. Definitely recommended.

We went to this place on a recommendation for a take away. The service was quite slow, and at the essential point of eating our food. The Chips were OK, but the FIsh was slightly underdone and the Batter was heavy and stodgey!! We won't use them again.

Loved it the other day. We went for a bottomless at yellow earl. It was a good bottomless and a nice festive touch to the town I'd say around this time of year. The food was nice and the service was good, which is essential for a bottomless brunch experience. Thanks to all the staff and the chef :)

Fantastic Chippy. Superb gravy and mushy peas.

Food was very nice, we felt rushed throughout our visit, staff constantly asking if we wanted more drinks and if food was ok. We felt embarrassed for the staff that had to keep asking ?. Obviously wanted us in and out as fast as possible. ? To require our table for another booking total visit was under 1 hr from start to finish. We really did feel pushed out!

Great atmosphere for watching the macth

Just had a chicken Tikka wrap and chips, it was amazing 😍 plenty of chicken in my wrap very tasty. The chips were very nice not greasy just perfect and a good portion. I will definitely be back. I would definitely recommend this takeaway.

Good curry, decent price, attentive and quick service and very busy. Certainly worth a visit if you’re in the area.
