The Head of Steam in Didsbury is a fantastic pub with a great selection of craft beers, ales, and ciders. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with a relaxed yet lively atmosphere that makes it a perfect spot for a casual night out with friends or a laid-back drink after work. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always happy to recommend a drink based on your preferences. The interior is stylish and comfortable, offering both a welcoming pub feel and a modern touch. Whether you're a beer enthusiast or just looking to enjoy a good time, The Head of Steam is definitely worth a visit.

I'm not a regular visitor to the Fletcher Moss, but called in with friends recently. I'm used to being greeted at a bar with maybe 'what can I get you?' or just 'yes please' but on 3 occasions just received a raised eyebrow type acknowledgement. Perhaps time for some staff training regarding smiling and politeness, even if you don't mean it. The ladies toilets were also less than inviting with toilet paper trailed across the floor and one cubicle very dirty. Sorry to be negative, but expected better.

Very disappointed with this place. Came all the way from Yorkshire after seeing it on social media to buy some baklava and knafeh. However, it was very soggy and didn't even taste like it should. Waste of money - spent £60 and all my fuel and time.

We'd been staying at the Travelodge, which didn't have a breakfast option. So we googled local cafes for breakfast. The Crazy Cow came up less than a 5 min walk. So we decided to try it out. What a superb full english breakfast! Friendly atmosphere and service, local produce and excellently cooked. More than enough to keep us going for the rest of the day. We would highly recommend the Crazy Cow for its breakfast offerings. The cost, including coffee and tea, worked out at £12 per person, what can I say but value for money and tasty to boot.

£10 for one small scone and a cup of tea is ridiculous, even for Didsbury - considering you can get a full English for the same price, I was expecting more. Seemingly no extraction inside so it ends up very smoky when stuff is getting fried.

Terrible meal- We dined at 3:30pm on a Saturday with the restaurant almost empty, yet it still took them 40mins to take our order and 1hr 20 for it to arrive. The food that was edible was average, the remainder was cold. The Chateaubriand for which they charge £70 was so cold the ‘famous’ butter couldn’t even melt, yet somehow the vegetables underneath were over cooked and soggy. Portions of chips didn’t arrive till we chased them half way through our meal, we found a hair in the children’s meatballs, the list goes on. To top it off when we tried to share this with the manager he didn’t allow us to share the issues, instead cutting us off midway to insincerely apologise. Then calling us rude when we continued to share our frustration, simply trying to finish what we were saying. Honestly the food and service was bad but the managers handling of the situation was the truly dreadful outcome. I do not recommend if they continue to operate like this. This restaurant is not cheap, there are countless other options that are infinitely better for the price point. One thing to note is that eating at the Gusto in Cheadle has always been a pleasurable experience and I do not wish to tar them with the same brush.

My go-to Chinese takeaway, no online ordering, cash only, just good value fresh food with a smile.

This afternoon I went to casa italia and I ordered two hot chocolate. I already know this place, and as soon as I entered no greeting, no one seat you in the table, all the tables are creammed each other and the lady seated us in a small table where I was tight with someone sitting behind me, but very close to me that I barely move. So I moved to another table myself. The hot chocolate came and it was good, but not too good as the Italian hot chocolate must to be tick and the hot chocolate I had was pale and milky, but the taste was good. The price for two hot chocolate was exaggerate 8 pounds. No customer service at all, no prices displayed in the items they sell and all the tables were dirty. It is a small place. It is not difficult clean 4 small tables and if you do this job, you must have a good customer service. I work in a restaurant and I know very well the job. This was my third time in domus italia and things hasn't change. I won't come back

First time customer. Not impressed. Greasy, tasteless spring rolls not improved by the dipping sauce. Stodgy fried rice (big clumps of stuck-together rice) and a very ordinary beef curry (though there were more beef strips than I was expecting). Gave up on the beef curry halfway through. Was it remotely worth the £18+ spent? Since half of it went in the bin, no, not at all. Won't be back.

I was introduced to wagamama cuisine lastnight by my friend and his good wife. The menu had a good variety especially for vegetarian and vegan. All our dishes can on time, were hot on the plates and portions were a good size. The cooking style and tastes in my opinion can relate to fusion of Thailand and Asia curry sauce reflect this. The cheese cake is a must to end our meal. Williams was our main waiter, he did a fantastic. So thank you to all the staff and keep up the good work.
