Food is absolutely awful, apparently they thought mince and onion puddings are "steak and kidney" so just replaced the steak and kidney we ordered with these - they smelt, looked and tasted like dog meat. Food was stone cold and staff are rude. On calling to sort this out the manager told me I was wrong because he's got 19 years experience and hung up.. avoid! š¤¢

Food My husband and I both ordered burgers and fries, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The fries were overly salty, and while I had the flavored version, the sauce was far too overpowering and salty. The burger buns lacked flavor, and the burgers themselves were overwhelmed by an excessive amount of burger sauceādeath by salty sauce. A little sauce would have been nice, but this was just too much. The veggie burger patty seemed to be an unbrand version ācertainly not Beyond Meat or any of the popular alternatives, maybe something like Tescoās own. The BBQ corn followed the same pattern: far too salty and drenched in sauce. By the time we left, we were both incredibly thirsty. It would be much better if they offered a DIY approach with plain fries, red salt, and sauces available on the table to add as you like, rather than drowning everything in sauce and salt. The drinks, however, were enjoyable. Service The service was decent; staff asked if we liked the food, but we werenāt sure how to respond at the time. We managed to get through about half of our meals before feeling completely dried out. While the staff had a trendy vibe, the place didnāt seem very organized. We were given conflicting information and had to repeat ourselves a few times. There didnāt seem to be a clear workflow or routine. Additionally, they added a service charge to our bill, which we werenāt expecting. Atmosphere The atmosphere was trendy, with shared tables that can feel a little awkward depending on who youāre seated with. The dĆ©cor looks great, with wall art and stylish lighting, but the space is limited, and thereās only one toilet. Overall While the vibe and drinks were good, the food was overly salty and saucy, and the organization could use improvement. Thereās potential, but we left feeling underwhelmed and very thirsty.

I stayed here from Sunday through to Tuesday. It did not rain. I did not hear or see an emergency vehicle. There was a fair bit of banter. I found this hotel's staff brilliantly individuals who work together to give great service when the curtain goes up. Photographs of my room show a clean well thought through offer, outstanding bed and bathroom linen. I love the modern take on the doormans chair , a sort of arm chair with a hood. I have seen a similar one near Exeter at chef Michael Caines manor house hotel. They originated from a Scottish design , I think. Plenty of marble and marble effect in the bathrooms. My room only had a shower, a very effective one too. I am too old to skid about in a bath. I thouroghly enjoyed a cooked breakfast here and Sunday lunch. I can find minor faults in certain aspects, but overall I really enjoyed my stay. It's in a great part of the city, great shopping and many very good places to eat and drink. I also went to Browns bistro round the corner, and to Moose cafe also nearby on York street. Manchester is untouristy on Monday and less so Tuesday. Museums are shut , the hop on hop off buses don't run. There are a few exceptions, the Central Library is open, Science and industry museum is open , though with a limited offer at the moment. On Mondays they both resemble creches with many running riot and having fun. It's a lovely diverse city, and has very much to offer. There are two free city bus routes. 1 and 2. Linking railway stations and the best parts of the city for a visitor And they run 7 days a week. The concierge at the hotel are fun, know their stuff , but perhaps not brilliant at imparting what you need to know. But jolly and kind and helpful. They will have to work on mind reading. I appreciated Nigel's help he is on the apprenticeship scheme. To me this is a perfect boutique hotel, small, private, genuine, authentic quality, with some brilliant dashes and sprinkles of passion and magic. I ate well , slept well, drank well and repeated that over 3 days.

Probably due to setting up too high the self-expectation with this popular Ramen restaurant from FB, we are disappointed with all of the foods we had. Iād rate the foods as AVERAGE overall, my son rated 7.5/10 of his Shogun Tonkotsu Ramen while Iād only give 5.5 for the Original Tonkotsu Ramen I had. My wife had the Chicken Curry lunch set with Chicken Wings in Tariyaki sauce. Honestly these feel a little NOT Japanese, and they are probably rather tailored for local taste buds perhaps? I wouldnāt recommend any one who has tasted the best jap noodle before as youāll only feel disappointed.
