The best restaurants in Wirral North West

Great venue for our family party. Nick and the staff couldn't have been more helpful - just a perfect night to remember.

We hosted two friends for the ‘festive’ dinner on Friday evening. Whilst the hotel was very busy with a large number of groups dining in the Crystal Suite, the Lawns Restaurant was busy enough to give a good atmosphere without too much background noise. Staff on arrival were very attentive and courteous. We had drinks in the bar area before being called through to the restaurant at the designated time. Not able to fault the food in any way, well cooked, presented and was full of flavour. All staff were attentive in a discrete manner.

5⭐️ for everything. Took my children for a meal over Christmas. The drinks (they do cocktails and mocktails amongst a lot of other choices were of a bar standard, not overly sweet, swear they have a mixologist as no other food establishment gets them that perfect! The food was stunning, we’ve tried other Indian restaurants before trying here and now have found “the one”! The decor, atmosphere and music went down very well with all of us and the staff are perfect, friendly and not too in your face but there if you need anything. There are extra touches others don’t have, can’t recommend enough 🌟

Good little boozer but has NOT served food for years (Nov 2024). Old reviews are obsolete. Footy on tv. Frequent open mic and entertainment.

Visiting family and first time to this restaurant. We enjoyed our meals of monkfish and prawn kebab, salmon, and mixed shish kebabs. Staff very friendly and attentive. Live music was great although a bit too loud to have conversations. Great atmosphere and ambience though and will definitely go back.

We were looking for somewhere near to our hotel that offered a cream tea. This was a nice find, thanks to Tripadvisor. Beautiful homemade scones with a choice of jam and plenty of butter and cream. Nice setting too.

Lovely tea room...well furnished with chandeliers and huge mirrors...so nice. Staff here are so friendly and service with a smile.... Stopped for lunch with big sis on a Monday... Fab fresh prawn sandwich, comes with crisps and side salad... All very clean... Super selection of homemade type cakes...

The best curry that I have had in a long time. Couldn't fault anything. Service also great. Good value for money and incredibly fresh and not greasy food.

Fun place, love the quirky decor. We used to LOVE the pizza before they changed the menu to the pizza slabs, and we’d drive 45 mins to visit here. Really disappointed with the change in pizza base as we just don’t enjoy these anymore. Ideal location for the beach and lake, we would also come for a walk before eating and as it’s dog friendly this suited all our needs. Please bring back the thin pizza bases! The loaded Cajun fries are still yummy :) staff friendly and welcoming.

Best Fish & Chips around without question. Great staff and the place is immaculately clean. Highly recommend

Watched Godzilla and enjoyed a heavyyyyyy crispy chilli beef and fried rice Also tried my mates salt and pepper chicken as well as chips, belter place probably the best on the wirral genuinely. Service was amazing people were so sound and had a brilliant laugh with us. If you’re ever near oxton and fancy a chippy go here 100% Food was 10/10 and service was 10/10
