The best restaurants in Ashford South East

Waited over half an hour for our food to find out the staff deleted our order so we were never going to get it. McTerrible. Just wanted my dinner after a hard day at work for my boyfriend he really wanted his cheeseburger and fries but half an hour was just too long.

We were so pleased to see John Lewis reopen their cafe a couple of months ago but so disappointed that there are no vegan ( dairy and egg free options ( aside from a couple of cereal bars which are often sold out)).Visiting today we counted 18 cake and scone options, none of which were vegan, and 7 sandwiches, none of which were vegan. We appreciate that a more limited menu is available than before but with this range of cakes there must be room for one or two vegan options and at least one vegan sandwich!Prior to lockdown there were two vegan cakes and two vegan sandwiches/ wraps so we know it can be done!The cafe offers at least two non- dairy milks and the hot chocolate is dairy free also so there is an acknowledgement that there are customers who can't/don't have dairy.With vegan options expanding in virtually all cafés, restaurants and supermarkets John Lewis café is, sadly, lagging behind the times ☹️

Regularly get asked to park up and wait when using the drive thru. Always check your food when it does arrive as orders are often wrong. Have been asked to handover my credit card at the collections window as my card didn’t go through. No Thanks! Only other options were pay by cash of go around again! Or my preferred option, get it right first time!

Serving larger in ale pint glasses with no widgets is the worst. No one in this day and age ever wants to drink a lager that looks flat and tastes flat. You can do better than that. Breweries don’t charge for pint glasses like you keep telling your customers

Best team work,all staff are polite and do listen what you say,there is nothing to talk about food restaurant been there over 25 years and best cook with they established business and ingredients!

We used to go in the pub when we was dating, so we went back expecting the same good memories how wrong we , got sat at a table and after about ten minutes the waitress came over for the drinks and food orders , after waiting 15 she came back and asked us have you had your drinks? Even though there was no glasses on the table, so again after a wait they turned up, then we had the long wait for the starter I had scotch egg which tasted of nothing and I wish I had something else the wife had onion soup which she said it wasn’t that nice, then we had the long wait for the main after it turned up I ordered beef roast dinner and pork turned up and it was all cold, the wife had pasta and that was not good at this point we didn’t even start to eat it I got up and went to the bar and complained and said we aren’t going to eat it as it’s cold and not even what I ordered and we waiting too long on , we was in there for 1 hour and 15 min had a starter in this time , I said I would pay for the starter and drinks we had but they said sorry and no payment req , it was such a shame as we had so many good memories but we won’t be going back.

Very disappointed went for bottomless brunch upgraded to the cocktails they were so syrupy not well made at all I honestly can't say I liked any of them the food was bland and undercooked not worth the money at all such a shame if your thinking of going for the bottomless I wouldn't bother not worth the money

The food was sensational, every bit of food on that plate was gone by the end, my mouth felt like it was in heaven. The service there is also top class, extremely nice workers, very comfortable to speak with and are overall superb. The atmosphere was also nice and filled with vibes. Our lasagna was warm around the outside and cold in middle. Taste was OK but disappointed it wasn't heated properly

Always quick turn around, but to be fair the food has got progressively worse. It's very close to me so quite easy, but a decent takeaway for 2 is not cheap at around 25-30 (which is about right with competition) but the food is not nice anymore. I'm sure it's all preprepared and reheated which it has to be for the turnaround times and I'm sure their business model hasn't changed but whatever they are doing has got worse. Had one a few weeks ago said we wouldn't bother again and then last week couldn't bother cooking so tried again, even worse. Sorry guys, I do want to use you just for convenience.

My wife is a big KFC fan, whilst I am very much indifferent to it, whilst being largely scathing about the sort of people that go to KFC. However, my wife convinced me that we should have KFC in our hotel room once our daughter was asleep, and as she agreed to run across Eureka Way to go and collect it, I reluctantly acquiesced. We had the larger pieces of chicken and some popcorn chicken, plus some creamy mash (we got two portions instead of the one that we paid for, so that was a bonus) and gravy. To my eternal surprise, it was actually really nice! Maybe my tiredness and hunger blurred my judgement, or maybe I have been wrong about KFC for all this time. The chicken was really good, the coating was tasty, the mash was very good, and the gravy was an inspired addition. It was so enjoyable that I might even be convinced to have it again - though it will be a cold day in Hell before I step foot in one of their actual stores.

They close 40min earlier than advertised closing time. Manager is rude. They use the too good to go app to grab food for themselves and cancel on the customers. Worst Pret Branch I've been to
