Great food & service in a modest-sized restaurant. Simple interior and furnishings. Just a shame that at the end of the night the chef didn't want to converse or acknowledge my presence. Makes such a difference if the chef checks that everything was okay. Encourages one to return.

What a gem! We were looking for fish and chips that offered a gluten free service and found Holly Hill. Wow! Portions were generous, chips were cooked to perfection and the fish was delicious. Service was excellent, with really friendly staff. Gluten free options cooked in a dedicated separate fryer daily and my coeliac daughter loved them. We will most definitely be back again! Thank you so much :)

Lovely place next to the water. Coming here quite often for lunch or coffee and grab my favorite pecan pie.

This place was amazing! Had to travel to Fareham for work and decided sushi would be a nice treat for dinner. Everything I ordered was delicious, fresh and over all fairly priced. The service was top notch and even though I'm pretty sure my waitress was still in training she did an amazing job. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and thoughtful with their service. I will 100% be back when I have to come into the main office again!

Been going here for over 15 years in its previous life as The Clay Food and service has always been excellent but this evening in particular the guys went above and beyond One of the kids didn't want a curry The staff offered to make a naan bread pizza ( not on menu) but should be It eas astonishing Everyone else's meal was the usual outstanding quality When it came to desserts No one could decide what they wanted especially the kids The staff made us a salted crepe and ice cream which again not sure was on the menu The extra mile all the staff go to every time is worth the visit alone But the fact there is not an Indian establishment that can hold a candle to the food on offer at River Spice lets you know we will be back See you guys on the 7th Feb Paddy

Lovely old pub, great staff and good no-nonsense food, with a "seniors" menu, but in desperate need of refurbishing. The tattered and weather-beaten bunting round the garden gives the correct, but not good, impression of the interior where the leatherette chairs are threadbare, worn out, with uncomfortable sunken seats and should have been taken to the tip 10 years ago. We couldn't get the fish and chips we wanted as the fryer was out of action.

If you are looking for an amazing Sunday roast then book a table at the miners! They do a great roast, big portions and very tasty! You will need to book in advance. It’s quite a small Pub. There is a car park but it’s got limited spaces, there is some on road parking out the front.

We booked a late lunch for my Nan’s 70th, Antonio’s were really happy to accommodate. Stayed open just for our table. Very attentive to everybody’s needs, even cooked food that wasn’t on the menu for the children (best homemade chicken nuggets they’ve ever had). Nothing was ever too much to ask and could have a joke and a laugh with the staff. Food was amazing, we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Would definitely recommend and would will be back in the future! Thank you for a great experience!

We love it here :-) I have reviewed before, always 5 stars, but it's been quite some time since I last did and we have had several excellent meals in that time, so seems fair to write another. Our last visit was for our 2nd wedding anniversary-we got engaged here Christmas Eve 2020 and like to return for special occasions. It happened to be a Tuesday evening so the menu was a little more pared back than normal, but we still had delicious tapas dishes which I followed with even more yummy fish. My husband had the always brilliant Baileys Creme Brulee. Service is always exceptional from Antonio. We will continue to eat here!
