Best food in Portsmouth with fast service and great friendly delivery drivers and never disappointing highly recommend it

I’ve been using this kebab shop for a while, though it seems to have changed ownership several times, along with its name, yet the same staff are still working there. We usually order the special, which includes a variety of meats, but sometimes just doner meat and chips. However, about 95% of the time something is always missing from the order. After some frustrating experiences, we stopped ordering for a while, but decided to give them another chance – and regretfully, we shouldn’t have. How difficult is it to get an order right? Apparently, very difficult. Once again, the chips were missing, even though we had paid for them and they were clearly listed on the receipt attached to the delivery bag. Additionally, the Special arrived cold and only contained a spoon full of lamb doner. When we called Portchester Kebab, we were told it would take 45 minutes to get the chips we had already paid for. Understandably, we were very displeased, especially since the mistake could have easily been noticed before the order left the shop. The owners were incredibly rude, and while we eventually received the chips, the entire experience was unacceptable. Regardless of the new management, the service remains poor, and the food was cold.

A real hidden treasure. Tucked away on Portsdown Hill, you have to know it’s there to find it. The burger bar uses locally sourced ingredients and genuine burgers. The menu is varied and there’s always a special to go with it. The service is great and the staff are always keen to help. Easily my favourite burger van in Pompey

I nearly fell off my perch when I found out the cost of a fish dinner for two at what was Mother Kelly's in Portchester. I left this takeaway, went a quarter of a mile up from there and visited Tony's bar in Saunders house, Leith Avenue. Got two nice bits of fish cooked to order/ perfection and more than enough chips for the both of us. Sorted.

The whole experience was let down from the start. The front desk is unmanned most of the time and you wait ages and I mean ages, for anyone to attend to you to get you seated. Interaction at the front desk is borderline rude even after you have been waiting a long time - no apologies or anything close. The main serving staff are super and were great. Food is ok, not bad, not great either. We usually go to the southampton branch which seems more well run.

We have had so much fun tonight. The food was incredible but more than that the staff were so attentive, kind and fun it made our experience brilliant and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Relentless x

Our waiter Ben was lovely, and the food was brilliant.

Restaurant looks tired, door wouldn't close so it was cold in there. Service wasn't great, and there was only one other table in there.We kept having to call the waitress over when we wanted something. Drinks took ages to come. Main course arrived but starter plates had not been cleared, we mentioned this and the waitress was short with us ! Very dissapointing experience considering the price you pay to eat out !!
