The best restaurants in Rother South East

Went there yesterday with my family for my birthday lunch and it was excellent. The staff were amazing and so was the food not to mention the fact that portions were generous 😉

We always have great food here ! There’s a varied menu for vegetarians , this time I had the Ravioli dish and it was delicious 😋! My partner had the Cyprus mix ( which he loves )! Always welcoming with great service ! This pub food never disappoints 😀 .

J'avais adoré la formule scone/thé lors de mon passage l'an dernier. C'était délicieux. Je suis revenue cette année mais le scone était dur (rassi ?) Et la crème avait une consistance poisseuse et collante ainsi qu'un goût affreux (rance, aigrie ou passée... je ne sais pas exactement). J'ai presque trouvé que c'était de la provocation. Je ne suis pas prête d'y revenir.

I’m down on holiday and eaten here TWICE! It’s that good. I recommend the Dansak and the naan was delicious as was the sag aloo - lovely mint sauce and dips and fresh crispy poppadums. It’s a small restaurant but better than many larger ones . Friendly staff and good value - top marks 😃

Nice country pub but maybe we were just unfortunate that it was so so quiet for a Saturday night so lacked any atmosphere. Menu is nice but quite expensive. Two of us had the steak (can only have rare or well done) - one was ok , but mine was more ‘blue’ and very chewy. Very basic - just thin steak and chips, for the price would have expected at least a tomato or mushrooms at least. Left feeling quite underwhelmed and wouldn’t rush back.

Have been using the pub for almost a year. What a treasure. Everything a traditional English pub should be. Great atmosphere thanks to the two Tracys, who seem to run the place. Good food from a varied menu and a wide variety of drinks at reasonable prices. Pity there are not more pubs like this around Barry Tomkins

Really lovely pub, relaxed atmosphere, very exciting menu filled with interesting dishes and very well priced. Our children were welcomed and also loved their lunch. Lovely staff all doing great work. Thank you and I apologise we didn’t realise the tip wasn’t included, we will come back!

To be honest I had no real idea of what The Bell would be like when I booked it. The location was convenient for a function we were attending elsewhere. What a revelation, this place is amazing. You have to consider that the "project " is ongoing, but this doesn't impact on anything. The standards are great. Service, welcome and the whole experience was amazing. While entering the bedroom, the standard of which it had been decorated and furnished to was just way above what you could have expected. Only down side was that we were only staying the one night.

I have visited twice in the last few weeks for breakfast, always cooked fresh with good ingredients, friendly service and a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend for a coffee or breakfast when in Battle, dog friendly too.

Great spot with delicious food and a great variety of options on the menu. I would highly recommend to anyone in Camber and in the ParkDean resorts / caravan area.

Superb little pub with great food and service with a smile. Landlady went the extra mile and chased me down the road to bring a bag I had left behind. Their butchers shop is awesome also. Romney marsh lamb chops are to die for. Excellent place.

Easily the best Indian takeaway in Manchester. Everything on the menu is 10/10, so so flavourful. Staff are lovely, great service. Food is always fresh and hot and delivered quickly!

Whenever I’m in the area, a quick stop here is SO worthwhile. The food is beautiful, tasty and freshly prepared and certainly sorts out those tummy rumbles The staff couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. I came for dinner on Tuesday 10th December When we arrived went to the bar to order drinks Sat down after 10 minutes approaching the bar man asked if had a table for dinner to which he checked he's watch to be told yes only just about 8.15. Was seated at a table Ordered pork pie starter When half way through start our main course arrived The young waitress when asked why is our main course has been served as we not finished starter her reply was Kitchen is closing at 9pm so to serve food now. This is not great service as felt rushed and didn't want food to go cold So left most of my main course as can't eat fast. All in all It's wasn't what we wxpected
