The best restaurants in Taplow South Bucks South East

This is a lovely place overlooking water views with extensive list of loose leaf potted tea, will 100% be back for tea!

This isnt a cheap place to go! But you know that before you arrive. Wife and I had the 7 course taster with wine paring. Mine (inc. seafood and meat) was terrific. But I didn't leave going "wow, this is the best ever". My wife (veggie) left a bit disappointed as she had 7 plates of various veg which seemed unimaginative compared to other taster menus we've enjoyed before. When you're spending £600 on dinner, you'd expect at least some kind of protein. That said, a terrific experience and the staff were fantastic

Went a few weeks ago with my work colleagues. It was nice to get dressed up, Greeting was lovely. The waiting staff was just wonderful, they made jokes with us, it was such a relaxing feeling to the evening. The food was amazing. Drinks are also nice and they make a good Espresso Martini. My colleague all enjoyed their meals, one had the snails, she said she always has them. My other colleague and I had the cheese soufflé which was outstanding. There was also a vegan Burger, Bavette Steak and a cod which was had for mains. We will return together again and also I will bring my family next time. Thank you for making our evening out special.

Christmas Day lunch was wonderful, well organised, great atmosphere, staff were very friendly, food was delicious. I don't know that I will ever cook a Christmas lunch again.

Excellent service, very attentive in an understated way, could not have been better ! Our celebration meal was fabulous, congrats to the Chef 👏🏼

Staff were great but tables were not cleared

The worst hotel I’ve ever visited. We came there the day before our friends wedding to have a rest and the next day to be ready for the ceremony. At night there was a flood and almost a fire, but thanks to the bride and the groom who noticed it we were survived. Of cause we slept just 2 houses. And the next day we ask the hotel for a refund or at least sone compensation, but there was no response. Also the spa worked till 7 pm, so when we just came we couldn’t even go to there to relax. During breakfast there was no several items at the menu and their menu is very short by itself. Try to find other places around if you can.

This is one of the best afternoon teas we have ever enjoyed! Why? The service was superb. Anna was so attentive, friendly & professional and nothing was too much trouble. Also Bryn went over and beyond to get permission to give us a tour of the infamous pool once he had actually finished his shift. Incredible. The passion and dedication of both was exceptional. Thank you. Now, the food … delicious and wonderfully plentiful, as a vegetarian extremely well catered for. When you’re ready, your plate, knife and tea are refreshed, and the gently warmed scones arrive, not just with the obligatory clotted cream and jam of course, but also homemade lemon curd - wonderful! We have wanted to visit Cliveden for many years, and everything exceeded our expectations!

Really enjoyed our fish n chips, we all had the smaller portion plenty, fresh fish crispy batter and chios. The best sticky toffee pudding have tasted, highly recommend, good menu plenty of choice fair price

The food was freshly cooked to order and hot. The menu choice is for everyone. The chef does wonders with the food

Went today with a load of friends for a Christmas lunch preorder if you want Christmas menu but ordinary menu and specials board also for those that didn't want Christmas food also you had the option of 2 courses or 3 and a smaller portion also ,food was superb, plenty of it, not catering meat like some. SERVICE was brilliant very attentive and staff happy and cheerful you do need to book table in advance

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was fab but the stand out was the charming and efficient service. Completely juxtaposed with the service in the hotel which is probably what made it all the more memorable. We had chicken tacos to start (shared the main - it’s not big!!) followed by burger and chips which was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a side salad which was necessary if you wanted any greenery. Update: Dec 2024 - food still good but the service was very sour and disorganised. Such a shame as it really put a dampener on the whole lunch. Seems the overall hotel’s service has permeated into the grill too!

The penne arabiata is really good decent service good atmosphere and an authentic Italian taste overall very good

Sunday lunch. They were very busy but still managed to accommodate 5 of us with little fuss. Could not fault. Highly recommend

After a lovely walk around Cliveden, we headed to The Feathers for a lovely roast. Food was really good and the service was excellent. Our waitress was very friendly highly recommend!
