The best restaurants in South Oxfordshire South East

I recently visited the Burger King in Didcot, and here’s what I thought: Food Quality: The Whopper and fries I ordered were fresh and hot, which was a pleasant surprise. The burger was juicy and flavorful, with a perfect balance of toppings. However, the fries were a bit salty for my taste. The chicken nuggets were also nicely cooked, but they didn’t stand out as anything extraordinary. Service: The staff were friendly and efficient. My order was prepared quickly and accurately, which made the experience smooth. It was great to see the team working with a smile and being attentive to customers. Cleanliness and Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean and tidy, with tables promptly cleared after customers left. The seating area was spacious and well-lit, creating a comfortable dining atmosphere. The only downside was that the music playing in the background was a bit loud, which made it harder to have a conversation. Value for Money: For the price, the meal was great value. The portion sizes were generous, and the quality of the food made it worth the cost. Compared to other fast-food chains, this location offered a solid dining experience for the price point. Overall: I’d rate my experience at the Didcot Burger King as 5/5. The food was satisfying, the staff were welcoming, and the environment was pleasant. I’d definitely recommend it for a quick and tasty meal, though a slight tweak to the fries and the music volume would make it even better!

I had coffee and I gave them my coffee cup and they returned it with coffee all over the cup. They asked me to clean it. They had good pastries.

WE had our Grandkids with us for the day and went to Henley.Called into Costa in the afternoon (1/6/24) before heading home, for coffee,tea and cakes but it was shambolic.....the staff were either unattentive or didn't understand english,or were inept at their jobs.Many people hanging around for drinks they'd ordered which hadn't materialised,us included and staff being constantly reminded by customers of what they were waiting for!....won't be going back!

I am extremely disappointed been here 30 minutes for a take away told 10 and the staff are just ignoring us they also kept trying to make me buy the more expensive options. I must say these workers will never be one of my ELITE EMPLOYEES!!!! Pure disgrace, could have gone to Germany and back in this time at this rate 🥳🥳

Don’t order her. It’s expensive, and below than average. Lack of flavour, and ALWAYS cold when delivered. We’ve only ordered from here 3 times and there’s been an error on the order, cold and takes over 50 mins to arrive. Such a shame as the takeaway options are so limited in didcot and this had so much potential as something unique.

I come here a couple of times a week for somewhere quiet to work with a hot drink. The staff are excellent - I have a slightly complicated drink order and they get it right every single time. Comfy seating, nice and quiet, perfect atmosphere for a supermarket cafe. 5/5

Popped in for a wine and beer and to watch the rugby before dinner. I’ve never been made to feel so uncomfortable walking in to a pub. The tv didn’t work so was turned off. It was a quick drink and off. Definitely won’t be popping in there to spend £12 off my money with such unfriendly staff

Late. Food was warm and not hot, rung the resteraunt, just full of foreigners so you cant understand them.

When they actually do food it's good and a good price. I've been there many times to be told they are only doing sandwiches or toasties. And the drinks machine is never working so you have to pay double what you would for a bottled coke. Shame as it was thriving years ago.

Ordered food at 3.30pm, had a phone call to say driver delayed and would be here by 5pm - already late! 5.30pm food arrived, cold - ever tried heating up jalapeño poppers and chips and chicken??? nah guessed not!! why not cancel the order if you knew you had a problem, £26 completely ruined and in the bin..

We were staying nearby, and called in here for a couple of breakfasts. Good value for a perfectly acceptable cooked breakfast.

Beautiful building in need of some loving care. Two water wheels and very small outside area. Very restricted menu for lunch and beers/lagers only in bottles. Service only average. Quiet little atmosphere. Disappointed.
