The best restaurants in Broughton and Stockbridge Test Valley South East

Oh dear how this place has changed. Ordered a salad and a starter and after 30 mins asked at till, told be another 5 mins. 15 mins later our order was being offered to two other tables, food finally arrived no apology! Staff are all youngsters without any adult to control almost like they are doing you a favour by serving when they decide to. Three other tables asked for a refund due to the delay and lack of communication whilst we were there. Avoid plenty of better options nearby, such a shame used to be good.

We have had lunch here before and although it was very good it was also expensive for what it was Today we went back and had a coffee, hot chocolate and two brownies. The hot chocolate was in a shallow cup, which is not what you normally get when you ask for hot chocolate/cream/marshmallows. Very disappointing We paid £16.00 for this, which is extortionate compared to other independent businesses. The service charge is frustrating, we would always tip for good service but we don’t agree with when you’re purchasing drinks and cakes!

We went on recommendation after checking the Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Luckily we prebooked because on our arrival at 2:30pm, the restaurant and bar areas were full. We were quickly shown to our table and drinks were ordered.

We only went for a coffee and ended up staying for lunch! The food was great and the staff are so helpful and were so polite and must say! Very organized and a structured team. The food was lovely! No waiting time either and made me feel very welcome. Highly recommend coming here :)

Food was very disappointing, our steaks were tough with a lot of fat and not cooked to our requirements. We had to ask for steak knives. No tomatoes or mushrooms as described on the menu. Plates and glasses were left on the table when finished with and the young service staff however were very apologetic but no Manager in site to smooth things over. Bill came at full cost and no reduction for underwhelming food. This is a surprise however as we have been before and the food in the past has been great.

We had a lovely meal here a few months ago so we came back for lunch with other family members. This time the food was really awful with very slow service. Never again!
