The best restaurants in Hailsham Central and North Wealden South East

The new location in Hailsham is absolutely awful! No parking for pick up, and busy traffic. My order was cold. It was our first and last visit there. It could work only for delivery or for collection on foot. By car - it is a nightmare.

Amzing place food is lovely and the people are so kind I usually have the burger and chips and it is always lovely. Hot chocolates are so good and they are really generous with toppings

Spent nearly £40 - food came cold - no mayo like asked for - was called a liar and shouted at on the phone. No wonder KFC is busier. Charged for delivery although it says it’s free on their website

Im going to say it was not that bad but I couldn't really finish it of how bad it was. First of all, they covered my chips in mayo and sweet chilli but they put so much mayo I didn't eat all of it. Second, some of the food was cold, not enjoyable. And lastly, I don't recommend getting the burger. All they do is put sauce in then put a decent size patty in it but it tasted like a McDonalds chicken nuggets and looked exactly like one. It was a bit cold too. If you want to order this place, choose your selections wisely.

If I could give less then 1 star I would. As a loyal customer I find it difficult to write this considering before the change in ownership it was arguably the best Chinese takeaway in town. Ordered accepted at 1650. No food show up by 1830... Took a day and a age to get through on the phone to query.... When answered they quoted a further 45-60 mins and they hadn't even started cooking the order... They claimed they had a load of tickets and when I asked if there was such a issue why hadn't they paused taking orders to which I was met with a "we have" struggle to believe this was the case and they seemed actually happy when I cancelled the order. Whilst things are sorted out or new owners who know how to run a takeaway are found then I'd strongly advise searching for a new Chinese takeaway... Unless you love waiting as clearly expressed by loads of other loyal customers

There is no cafe here that I could find actually, only a coffee machine by the entrance, which is free if you make a purchase in store and take your own cup with you.

Put an order in at 10am Which i gave them 12 hours to process my order because lets face it, It isn't rocket science cooking food for my family. 12 o clock arrived and still nothing no one answering the phone finally i had a delivery driver asking me to call back in an hour because he doesn't know how to cook pizzas nor does he know how to refund money. My order has been "sat" in the system for over 90 minutes without confirmation. So basically they are not only robbing people they can't even provide or get out of bed for the service they provide. So question is if they can't get out of bed and do a job. Why is it still in the highstreet. Wondering if these are because they are brain dead. Put in complaints to papa johns because they have no phone numbers for their own customer services department...... Simple question is at least with domino's you aren't dissapointed you get what you get. This place its best you stay the hell away. And as i was the only customer.. My exptations are that this should be hot not look like the rest of the offerings that are on this site. Update after 3 hrs no response after saving my phone number. No calls. And Then no delivery. It was processing then it stopped. I guess they really haven't a freaking clue how to run a business. I Used to love papa johns but they can sod that

Honest review, it’s not the greatest Chinese takeaway I’ve had, and yet the negative reviews on here baffle me? It was hot, tasted fresh enough, portions were huge and it was really decent. It’s not fine dining, it’s a Chinese takeaway, and it’s good!!

Well I say dinner I put my order in at 5 and it’s still not arrived it’s gone 7 , £3.50 delivery charge and £1.90 admin which is sneakily taken out after you pay , called them and they used every excuse about traffic then proceeded to say they hadn’t even got to my order . Guaranteed it will be here in 30 mins , it’s now 40 mins they take the mick I will not be accepting the order if it actually ever turns up nor will I ever order from them again . They only take cash on delivery which is also really annoying !!!

When the next day, you’re still talking about how bad the service was, and watch every table you arrived before get served, eat, and leave. Literally lunch was over before we got served our lunch. Service was friendly on arrival, but that’s when it ended too. No one wanted the warm-ish food when it finally arrived. We didn’t leave a tip, and that’s super rare to annoy us that much.

Sadly still waiting for my refund after them asking me to email them my details that I did 5 weeks ago

Unfortunately I found the quality of the food and the service to be disappointing. The food was of a poor quality and the service was indifferent.

Order food for delivery it took an hour and 45 to come and was cold and dry. I will not be ordering again from this papa John’s
