The best restaurants in Newlyn and Mousehole Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

What a wonderful find! The pasties were so good! Hot out of the oven. A small, popular and adorable place with charm up a cobble stone street. We sat looking at the harbor enjoying the sun, this beautiful village and our fantastic pasties!

Being going here for 30 odd years. It’s recently changed hands / management and it shows. Food came out staggered with LONG delays, so whilst some were eating and finishing others had yet to start! Long wait times for service. Staff still loverly and the mead as good as ever… You were never able to book but apparently now it’s a thing

Had a burger and some mac and cheese bites tonight. The Florida Man burger is absolutely stunning. There are so many great flavours in every bite. Well done on the New Menu guys! So impressed!

Delicious crab soup, prawn toast, chow mein and beef szechuan. Fast service. I go here pretty much every week and it's always very tasty.

Two nights out at the Ship for dinner: once for fish and chips and once for sirloin steak. Both meals came out hot and delicious. Our server was Lou who was excellent. Very efficient with a good sense of humor. Great experience overall including the Sticky Toffee for dessert. Well done staff.

Lovely staff, had a medium steak pasty, good size and value. Got it bagged up to take away ewith a nice coffee.

Don't understand the bad reviews. Visited at 1330 when it was shutting at 1400. Could not be friendlier and food was wonderful. Big mugs of tea chunky sandwiches were like door stops. £20 for four of us. Would go back again.

Before I write this I just want to say that I never complain in restaurants, and have never written a bad review. But my meal was bad. And the service poor. I ordered nachos for £8 and what I received was a bowl of classic Doritos with shop bought sauce, and not very nice cheese. I politely asked to have something else, even just chips, instead as I could not eat it and felt very disappointed with what it was. I was not expecting the response. The man at the desk (assuming he is the owner) told me nobody had complained before so I could not have anything else unless I paid for it. He argued with me and made me feel very small, and treated me terribly. So terribly I began to cry for the first time ever in a restaurant because of his terrible customer service. He did not seem to care that he had upset me, and talked to me in a rude manner. I do not recommend, and would advise to avoid. Rude service, as I left upset I could hear him moan about me to another member of staff. Anywhere else would have refunded us, but not here.
