The best restaurants in North Devon South West

Fancied a coffee whilst at the park and always like a slice of cake with that. Wish I hadn't the cake was stale. Hard and old.

Very dissapointed today to find they couldn't offer me a GF sandwich or toastie of any kind. Gf quiche but expensive at almost £9 for small lunch, or soup but no roll with it. It takes nothing to freeze gf bread or rolls. Managed to get a small GF nut cake, not exactly lunch in my opinion

I ordered two pizza’s and I got two cheese toasty’s with Salami and they did not have pepperoni like it said it was supposed to have. these two cheese Toasties were also opposed to have sausage meat it came with one Richmond sausage cut into four pieces and five bits of salami there was no sauce on this whatsoever asked why I’m calling it a cheese toastie it was the saltiest thing I’ve ever had they didn’t even have the decency to put on mozzarella they put on strong cheddar cheese. I ordered a hot n spicy and it came with three bits of salami and five slices of chilli it was the least spiciest thing it was so salty I had to drinks all my drink within the first few bites. I would not recommend this to anyone especially as it was my mother‘s birthday she was not pleased with spending £30 on a plate of salt with a cut up Richmond sausage in it and some cheddar cheese .when we really ordered pizzas but there was no sauce there was no mozzarella I would not recommend this to anyone .my mum said is ruined her birthday.

Same telephone number but restaurant called Surma Tandoori... ? Had a lamb jalfrezi. It was the worst Indian meal ever. The lamb was like old boots. Impossible to chew. Threw most of it away. I wouldn't recommend this place but if you do use it don't have lamb.

Only once in several visits have I actually been able to order a breakfast baguette, due to running out of baguettes. On the last visit they only had a few slices of bacon (10:15) but I was given extra sausages, however it was 3 bacon and sausage baguettes we wanted. The place is busy but every visit it seems they are out of one thing or another. Oh and only serving breakfast baguettes until 11am is unhelpful.

Place is cold lol but food is great here .

We had a lovely stay at the Darnley, which is a short walk from the the the town and harbour, our room was spotless, breakfast was good and tasty. The owners Paul and Lorinda are a great couple,so nice to have met them, wish you all the best in the future guys Would definitely recommend a stay there Phil and Alison

Inconsiderate staff!! I asked to put drinks In a separate bag as last time it came all on top of my food and make all my food stone cold like they done again today! Never order from here! Your food will come cold. Vary shocking. You would think for the price they would use their brains.

Order from here tonight got a message to say was ready for collection but they were only just making it when I went in. Was not happy as my kids were hungry. To top it off I ordered a brownie and got a cooking instead but still says brownie on the box. When I called up they were very rude and told me I had a browning then said don’t order brownie as the don’t have any then told me the next time to only order cookie not to order anything else. I hate it when a place I have been multiple time and never had bad experiences. Kids enjoyed the cookie.

Couldn't order food as there was only 1 member of staff on duty and she was preparing "pre-orders" Politely told I would have to wait half an hour to order Not good enough really

Awful! Dripping with oil! Tasteless! Do NOT waste your money! Smells great, staff are lovely... food was a disappointment!

My daughter and I created a lifetime memory because of Charlie’s beautiful horses. We rode through an amazing variety of open expanses with wild Exmoor ponies in close view to the intimate valley setting for the novel of Lorna Doone. We saw the ruins of a medieval village and wondered about life so long ago. Charlie is in love with this wild place and will give you a delightful tour. She is fun and makes you feel special!

What an absolute disgusting place. Cold food rude staff ignorant and loud. The worst dirtiest kFC ever. Avoid like the plague

Suzanne the manager couldn't have been more helpful. Daughter on her way to hospital on a 35 mile journey here from home while I waited for her to be driven up by family member, and while I was waiting needed to order food for myself and then delay another order until my daughter had arrived. I was getting confused with the app and what was available, but Suzanne helped out, and put the second order on hold until daughter arrived. Very friendly and empathetic. Enjoyed the food. Thank you Suzanne!

Website says that it opens at 6, when I've turned up at 6 it's not been open, surely it should open as advertised, stop sleeping in.
