The best restaurants in Nailsea North and West North Somerset South West

Nailsea - What have you done to deserve this fantastic restaurant ?!? I can not fathom how this cosy restaurant does not have a Michelin star. It displays the highest degree of craftsmanship and plenty of personality from two chefs who tirelessly cook classic dishes. Most importantly, the food here is a joy to eat, which is something I can not always say about Michelin restaurants. Ingredients are luxurious and prepared carefully. Plates are rich but with balance and finesse. The waiting staff are extremely friendly and polite, and the drinks list extensive with some excellent selections. I had the lamb, and it simply melted in my mouth. This is a restaurant I will happily return to each time I am near Nailsea. Excellent pricing, and lovely thoughtful decor.

Good choice of Italian food. Very tasty and prepared well. We all had three courses and each was cooked, and very much as described. Staff were very helpful, courteous and attentive. We will certainly go again, maybe in the evening for the dinners.

Pub accepted our table reservation for Christmas Eve, for early evening meals. We arrived to no table reservation, eventually found somewhere to sit, to then be told “there hasn’t been much uptake for food, so the chef didn’t come in”. No apology, the guy didn’t seem to really care. Being Christmas Eve everywhere else was full. So thanks for that. We ended up with oven chips, instead of the lovely treat we had planned. We will continue to support the other local pubs that don’t do this to their customers.

Great food, helpful and friendly staff, an all round winner. If you fancy fish and chips there really isn't anywhere better!

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and our waitress was so friendly. The drinks arrived quickly and the menu is so hard to choose from The meal was freshly cooked and tasted delicious We even found space for a pudding and overall the whole experience made the lunch really special

We order an ham &pineapple pizza we had no pineapple at all on our pizza

It's not unpleasant. It's very clean and tidy, the staff are nice and helpful and the food is pretty good.

Came for a Christmas lunch yesterday, we were a very large table. The food and service was great. The roast turkey and veg was served hot, and simple - just want you want for a Christmas roast. No fancy additions and the perfect amount of gravy! The staff were great (and patient) too. I haven't been before, but will be back. Our table also included vegetarian and gluten free, which was all catered for. Thank you.

One of our local spoons it's popular, staff are friendly and attentive, service is reasonably quick. Only down side is the number of parents who bring small kids in and pet them run riot screaming and shouting, running around. Really spoils a meal out. Not the staffs fault have often heard them ask parents to keep kids under control, only to be abused in return.

Just a couple of sausage rolls but very nice indeed. Prices on the whole are reasonable as well. Pleasant staff.

Always the attention and the products are great

Just had a wonderful meal for a birthday celebration. The food was fresh, generously portioned, service was great and very timely. We had a good range between us, fish and chips (fish wonderfully battered and cooked) good steak and epic sausage and mash and plentiful gravy. Very reasonably priced good pub fayre. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for food on a long journey for work. I have been to plenty of Wetherspoons pubs over the years so knew what to expect (this was pub number 201 in the chain for me) and this was a pleasant eating experience. I parked in the free Crown Glass Shopping Centre parking on Stock Way and walked the short distance to the pub. I had no problems finding a table although many of the tables were poorly lit so had a little wander before finding one that was well lit so I could see what I was eating. I ordered a drink and a mixed grill on the app (it was a Steak Night) and the total bill was less than £12 including the drink which was excellent value. The drink was at my table within a couple of minutes and the wait for food was minimal. The mixed grill was one of the best I have had in the chain...the meat was well cooked and lean, and everything was served hot. The pub had plenty of sachets of HP sauce (which for some reason seem to be hard to find in many Spoons pubs these days) and overall the dining experience and the drink was very good. Toilets were upstairs and clean. Service was speedy albeit rather impersonal with not much in the way of communication, just 'here is your food'. With free parking nearby this was a pretty good stop and one of the better pubs I have visited on my travels.
