Sadly, all the good days I've had working there have been spoiled by the fact they regularly made it next to impossible to visit because their primary business of film studios took precedent, and then they shut up shop almost overnight and months later, I'm still waiting for my refund, despite being told it's on the way. Disgusting behaviour

My wife and I were looking to break a journey from Kent to Bristol and didn't fancy stopping on the M4 services for lunch. She looked up a "dog-friendly pub near junction 15" on Google whilst en route and The Bakers Arms was recommended. We were greeted extremely warmly, including the dog, (who was given a biscuit). Service was brisk and cheerful throughout. The food was lovely: ham egg & chips and Bakers Arms famous battered cod & chips - and generously portioned. Great country pub. It was good to see enough people drinking and dining to create a nice atmosphere. Bradbury village itself is full of character and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable stop for lunch.

Booked a table for 2, but changed this various times as the birthday celebrations grew. This was no problem for the landlord & landlady. Service was great and the food was delicious. 2 of us stayed the night. Rooms clean and super-king size bed comfortable. Very enjoyable experience and would definitely go back. Felt very welcome. 5 *****

Incredible place! Pick a category, food, service, atmosphere, rooms, all simply outstanding. We planned to stay for one night and ended up extending our stay. We were made to feel so welcome, from the moment we opened the front door to to the moment we left. Nothing was too much bother and the atmosphere was; and I appreciate this sounds odd, but âjoyousâ (happy staff who seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs and get a buzz from connecting with customers). The place is dog friendly with a nice selection of beers (and also non-alcoholic beer options). Accomodation was also superb - clean, quiet and super comfortable. Recommend booking with the breakfast included as it is something special.

Just got home from a fabulous Christmas dinner. The food was superb, the staff attentive but not overly so, they really couldn't have done more for us. A splendid night at a splendid establishment. If you're looking for somewhere to go as a group or a couple, you won't go far wrong making the trip to Liddington's little gem - The Village Inn. đ

Visited four times over the last week. The food and drink are great. The staff are great; I feel for them having to work in really cramped conditions. Twice out of four visits I have had my food left, uncovered, on a tray whilst my drink is prepared. Today a woman with long blonde hair leaned over my food to receive her drink from staff and a large built man stood over my food for at least two minutes. This cannot be good. Once again, the staff are great.
