The best restaurants in Cleeve St Michael's Tewkesbury South West

Food was OK. Chicken Shashlik & Rice & Naan & Poppadoms & Alo Boonda were all nice. Sauce in Masala was very red/pink! Sauce in Shaktora Lamb dish was delicious but Lamb was very tough & grisly, sadly. The biggest disappointment of all was the multitude of plastic containers!!! Only the Naan & the Poppadoms escaped the plastic containers. We live a bit too far away to simply bring it back for re-use, and I’m not sure - I wasn’t told and I haven’t read - whether SLK wants its customers to bring back the plastic cartons??? It’s all Tupperware type cartons for the Starters & Mains & Rice, and I’m not sure whether that type of plastic is Recyclable either. What’s wrong with Aluminium Foil takeaway containers & cardboard lids? A few improvements and environmentally-friendly packaging and I’d go again.

How disappointing. I used to come here as a teen maybe 10-13 years ago…we’d all sit under the canopy and have our 3-in-1 meals. The staff here are still friendly and cheerful but the food just isn’t it. The chips were either old and been under a heat lamp or had been reheated (both myself and OH have worked in the same industry so..we know) and everything was just a bit tasteless. Sorry guys…doubt we’ll be coming back for a while. I hope things improve. I’ll update tomorrow to confirm if we had any ‘ill effects’ from the few mouthfuls we managed to eat :( .

Simply the best curry you'll find in Gloucestershire. We followed them to Bishops Cleeve after they moved out of their restaurant in Cheltenham. Well worth the drive to pick up a takeaway.

The Indian dishes taste good and are well prepared, cooked and presented. Sadly they are always late. At least 10 minutes after the predicted collection time. Also provide the wrong dish occasionally, this time a Veg Curry instead of a DRY Veg Curry. Sorry guys, we like the food but cannot be doing with it being late all the time. Time to try one of the others

The staff have on two occasions apologised and said ‘sorry our chef is useless’ Unprofessional establishment and simply unkind

Had mixed Kebab. chicken was stone cold so suspect frozen and not cooked properly Awful !!
