The best restaurants in Appledore Torridge South West

Lovely staff, excellent wine, pizza, music....everything totally ruined when a couple with THREE dogs sat next to us. They spread out under our table, smelly, eating from the hands of the couple, broke a glass......discusting!

We enjoyed great coffees and very tasty cakes in beautiful surroundings, that is, the Coffee Cabin. We will definitely be back.

What a awesome place. The food was great and good value.

Excellent food, service and drinks. The place has a lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. We were so pleased we came here - in particular because one of the party is gluten free. The menu is extensive for GF options and set out very clearly. Only sorry we don't live close enough to come here much more often. Thanks for a great evening!

Had an amazing lunch with friends yesterday, food and service were splendid 👌, particularly enjoyed the mussels, and the smoked haddock risotto was stunningly good. Server Mickie was attentive and entertaining, thank you 😊. View is wonderful , now firmly on our go to list. Excellent

Having been recommended the Market Kitchen by a local, we were certainly not disappointed. Lunch was excellent as was the service. A very nice friendly cafe serving good fresh food.

Excellent fish and chips. Plus, a pint in the pub across the lane while you wait for your order. Pub belongs to the same people. Eat food in the bar. All decorated for Halloween.

After reading some of negative reviews regarding portion sizes and price etc, we thought give it a go ….. firstly price wise, it really isn’t so bad, after all, it’s seaside F&C for goodness sake!……Try living in a Central England City where a “Friday Chippy Tea” for 4 costs us in the excess of £35!!! Secondly, portion sizes… …myself and my fiancé had one portion of cod and regular chips between us, and the girls (2 x 15 yr olds) had large chips between them and a fish cake each which was more than enough for a lunchtime meal!…price inc drinks and sauces, was less than £25….. IMO, bargain!….as for quality, neither of us could fault it! Would definitely recommend!

Can only give it one star as zero isn't an option. Battered sausages overcooked and tasteless, chips overcooked and solid. Ruddy awful 1

Had another fantastic time at The Seagate pub, in Appledore Thank you to especially Ruthie, Fish, Cris & all the staff…you all worked very very hard over the new year! 🥳. The food was amazing…..well done to all the chefs who were involved Looking forward to seeing you all again in September, if not before

Had a good afternoon watching rugby. We lost 😟

Great atmosphere in the pub.dog friendly in the bar area but you can still book a table there which I recommend as a busy pub. The menu was varied we had the fish pie which was a good size portion and the fish burger which was outstanding not a frozen one but fresh in a lovley batter.servuce was quick and efficient. A great experience

Picked up some delicious sweet treats and beverages, some could find this expensive but given the location, the amazing food I would say it’s still very good value for money. Can’t wait to visit again soon!
