The best restaurants in Minehead Central West Somerset South West

The food we we had was really nice apart from the hair we found at the end which put us off. Also when they brought the baguettes over ,we reminded them about the chips we also ordered which they had clearly forgotten as they failed to arrive even 25 minutes later. When we went to ask for our money back for the chips someone went into the back and handed them to us at the bar. Potentially good food but disappointing service.

Service was amazing super friendly and food was served hot. Best pizza in minehead.

A cracking locally Pub that also attracts tourists that come to see this unique village. Dunster appears to be in two parts , this is in the part nearer there deer park. Welcoming staff, locals are friendly and the Landlord is really accommodating......yes, I will go out of my way to visit again...

Third visit to this gem. Lovely friendly service, nice atmosphere and good menu. We opted for a ploughman's, a feast presented beautifully for under £7. Whats not to like

Was in Minehead for the Shiiine On festival and stroll up into the town on Sunday morning was well worth it to find this absolute gem of place. The breakfast baguette was superb, definitely an aid for the inevitable hangover from the night before. All freshly cooked and they do a lovely sausage roll and Cornish pasty too. See you again next year.

The café looked cozy and inviting from the outside with all the fairy lights and decorations. There was a fantastic selection of herbal teas and the staff were very accommodating to our order requests. Will definitely be visiting next time we are nearby.

We went here for an evening meal, the food was lovely and a lot of thought went into it. Unfortunately the service and the ambiance was not up to par. For a Saturday night there were only a few other people there which made us think that we had probably chosen the wrong place to go. Why are people not going here? I was surprised to be sat near the office area and the bar when we could be making use of the restaurant. The girls could then have their conversations without the customers in ear shot. It made the experience feel more casual. Considering it was the weekend before Valentine’s Day, we only saw a few other couples here, this should be the busiest night of the week. It took 20 mins for the waitress to come over and offer a drink, we were going to give it 5 more minutes before we walked out. At least the waitress apologised when she came over in the end, but you just don’t do that. The food was very nice but the service needs a lot of work. Dim the lighting, add some candles and be more attentive, use a tray too. The standard of food and the service do not align, you would be better off offering more casual food if you are not going to up the standards of service. Just a thought. I also don’t understand why the staff are wearing masks on their chins. Why not just take it off??

A little underwhelming. Visited after a nice walk along Minehead beach. The service was very slow, although credit to the lady serving on the till who was very apologetic for this. I think they were running a little low on staff this day as there were a lot of uncleared tables, and the tables could have all done with a good wipe over. Coffee was pretty standard. I don’t think my husbands cappuccino was actually a cappuccino, and he didn’t end up drinking it. Food however was surprisingly delicious. We had two Breakfast Baps and they were lovely and tasty. Probably wouldn’t rush back, but a nice stop off after the beach.

Ten years ago I wrote a 5* review of my experience here, based on perceived good value for a vegan pasty. Recently I bought the same product and paid more than double what I did ten years ago. This is no longer good value and I will never buy another Oggy Oggy pasty. It IS, after all, a few veg baked in a bit of pastry - it's not Cordon Bleu!

Lovely pasties and friendly staff.

We had a fantastic day and meal. We were fortunate and managed to arrange a trip on the day by turning up and asking (and paying the difference between the rover day ticket and the trip price) Carol was train manager and she was great and sorted everything out. The train journey was very enjoyable watching the scenery slowly roll by. The food was lovely and hot and we w severed by Margaret. We a Sunday Lunch with salmon pate, veg soup with crusty bread, roast lamb with roast potatoes and veg and on the return apple and blackberry crumble with Tea and Coffee included. What makes the trip is the staff who are all volunteers - unfortunately I dont know all their names but the service they provide is lovely - thankyou very much - Chris and Bernie

Took mum for 70th Birthday treat of tasty sarnies, homemade cake and gorgeous cream tea. The tea was amazing too. I loved the vintage, kitch feel of the cafe too. Lots of atmosphere and friendly staff. Thank you x

Excellent ice cream, brilliant staff, very positive towards members of the public, clean and tidy, polite staff, would recommend.

Easy place and convenient while the kids tire themselves out for a hot chocolate or a cup of tea. The kids can enjoy a cake to a cooked snack. Lovely staff.

Only thing wrong about this place is that they charge for parking £7.00 per night.
