Wonderful place behind Masters house ,live music,food friends great atmosphere, definitely try this place on a Saturday afternoon

Only went in for a Latte - great flavour/strength. I have to write 100 characters but only went in for a coffee!

We had hoped for a good meal in this historic hotel: sadly no. First they tried to seat us in the draughtiest spot in the room…..pleasant if it was a warm evening, but it wasn’t. Moved. The food: some interesting items on the menu, and overall I would rate this at 3, with hints of 4 for some dishes. So, the mozzarella soufflé was good, but dumped in a rather inelegant display of leaves and asparagus. The fish cakes with crayfish were good, and a good salad accompaniment. Croutons a little soft. The burger and its fries were below average, and the only redeeming feature was a good salsa. We did not even bother looking at desserts. The service was very poor: it was not that the staff were rude or unhelpful……but they were clearly untrained and inexperienced, and initially far too few in numbers. No wine list offered until we asked, they did not know what the pie of the day was, and the food was delivered with no drinks until we asked. Sorry, one can reasonably expect more in such a venue. A poor end to the day.

Went to the coffee shop. Lovely comfortable chairs & sofas. Lots of room. Delicious cakes. Nice open fire in the pub area.

We ordered a takeaway last night and they forgot the rice with one of the orders. We notified them, they quickly delivered it with complimentary poppadoms and pickles and a bottle of Prosecco! We also loved the friendly delivery driver dressed as Santa. Thank you, Raduni!

Absolutely stunning, food, atmosphere, cleanliness, staff. A lovely town and restaurant was beautiful.Highly recommend for a wonderful evening. I personally recommend the steak it was beautiful.

As always with most Coffee #1, relaxing ambience and clean. Drinks were great, accompanied by tasty sweet treats. However…..my word, is this place short staffed! 20-25 minute wait to place an order at the counter, not in a particular long queue either. Clearly one experienced lady, who was friendly, methodical and calm considering the tuts and glares trying to direct one young trainee barista and a table runner. Thats it. Please give this poor woman some staff!!!

What a lovely experience. Friendly staff, good choice and reasonable prices. My ham sandwich was stuffed with ham off the bone and a proper salad garnish including grapes, tomato, celery, pepper and carrot. My wifechad a nourishing and tasty bowl of curried parsnip and carrot soup. The table next door had a tea platter and it looked absolutely fabulous and I suspect they would have needed a doggy bag.

Lovely people, but me and my partner got very bad food poisoning from a mixed kebab last night

Our group consisted of two adults and a six-year-old child. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and warm, enhanced by some charming Christmas decorations. The staff provided a warm and inviting atmosphere. As the first customers of the evening, we appreciated the attentiveness of our waitress, who promptly took our order. We requested that our starter be served first, followed by our main meal. We were quite surprised by the timing of our meal; the starter took just over an hour to arrive, and the main course an hour and a half. As the evening progressed, the restaurant started to fill up, with only one table remaining available. It seemed that many tables were experiencing delays with their starters. I had the impression that the takeaway service was causing delays for the restaurant customers. To enhance the overall experience, it's essential for the establishment to find a balance between serving takeaway and dine-in customers effectively. I want to point out that the service could be improved, as one of the waitresses brought us the bill right after we finished our starters and also delivered the incorrect main meal. The food was decent, but it could benefit from a more authentic flavour. There's definitely an opportunity for improvement in both the service and the overall taste. The portion size of the food was acceptable, but I felt it didn't provide good value for the price paid. The atmosphere of the restaurant was vibrant and energetic.
