What a great traditional pub - 12 of us from the same team but travelled from different parts of England & Wales for our Christmas do; we all sat at a large rustic table and had a good afternoon (so good we went back in the evening!) Amazing selection of bar snacks too !

Absolutely excellent Pizza. Was visiting from Derby and Went close to closing time but still a lovely pizza with loads of fresh veg. This is now the only place in Shrewsbury I'll visit for takeaway pizza ! Many thanks to the lovely lady who has ran it for 21 years too.

We recently had our wedding at The Lion Hotel, and had a fantastic day. All of the staff were brilliant, very friendly & helpful. The food was fantastic and a variety of dietary requirements were catered for, with no problem at all. During the planning Noel was excellent, he clearly knew exactly what he was doing, he answered all of our questions quickly and made us feel confident that the day would go well. On the day Noel & Alex helped to calm our nerves and put us both at ease so that we could really enjoy our day without having to worry as we knew everything was taken care of.

I'm definitly coming back soon.

Called in on a Tuesday night at the beginning of December, and trust me I understand that it’s a difficult time of year, but also January and February are harder, so why close down the bar at 7.45 and make it obvious you’ve had enough because there’s no way we will want to come back in the new year, if you have had enough so early on, other pubs just up the road are full so it’s about attitude and welcome and not you’re “privileged “place in the town which probably costs your managers more.!!

Unfortunately my pint was spilt by a wobbly table, the team argued with me that the table was wobbly but not enough to spill a pint. Now I am without a pint and still a wobbly table exists. The customer service is awful. I got told to pay for pint even though it wasn’t my fault. I then got started on by a bunch of men for trying to argue my point from my point of view and they were very confrontational. As a result I nearly got beaten up. I will not be going back as I do not feel comfortable or safe with the place.

This is a lovely space and has bags of potential - and past visits have been good. But visiting on a very quiet Saturday evening I was disappointed to see staff just chatting amongst themselves, rather than making us feel welcome and asking what we’d like. We had to attract the attention of the staff - and they were right by us!! Really poor customer service - let a lovely bar down.

Amazing place, the hot chocolate was delicious. We had a mini mouse desert and wow was delicious! The man was so helpful and joined me up to their VIP rewards scheme which has saved me loads online!

Ordered 1hour and 10 mins no notification being late will not order again. Don't expect to wait that long when just down the road

Got told to leave because my wife was helping me in the Disability toilet 🚻 and sorry never coming here again as I'm Disable with lung 🫁 Disease ect

Called 3x to see where order was, to be told it had left, order arrived cold 2.5 hours later, tried to refuse the food, food was cold. No refund given. Would not order again!

Really good service and was in and out

Just had my delivery turn up and there were no crisps which we asked for. we also asked for 2 double chocolate cookies and got 2 milk chocolate ones! Wanted Powerade and Diet Coke and they gave us 2 coke zeros instead will not be ordering from them again 😡😡
