The best restaurants in Warwick West Warwick West Midlands

I had a potato with chilli here a few weeks ago and it was the smallest baked potato I had eaten in a long time.

Cracking selection of craft ale and some lovely stuff on tap as well for you to take away. Can be a bit pricey, but then that’s just normal for the types of beer they sell which is pretty tasty and a nice treat!

We had a family meal here, my husband is extremely hard of hearing and they went out of theirs way to accommodate this often hidden disability, the food was excellent could not fault the quality or the service

Location would get a 5 if there was parking. Nice rooms with high ceilings and a modern bathroom although the bedside table lamps did not work. Windows are very drafty as old. Ok continental breakfast. If I knew you only get a cooked breakfast on the weekend I would have probably amended my booking. Nice coffee.

Had plenty of good experiences with this place up until 15/12/2024, Ordered large chips Donner kebab meat in a tray which was a massive £7.20 for a portion in a small tray😮 Curry sauce & 2 large jumbo sausages which cost an eye watering £19, never again. The prices are ridiculous. Came home to eat and within an hour me and my lad was straight in the toilet and all night we was. No idea what had gone on with the food but it certainly turned our stomachs so for that, we will never ever be returning again, and we certainly will not be returning due to how expensive this place has got. Staff are extremely friendly otherwise

The Shakespeare fish bar is absolutely brilliant it was the best fish and chips I've had for a long time my wife and I had many Cod and chips and a curry sauce. When I got it home it was still piping hot the chips were a lovely golden brown the cod was well battered and and tasty. It was good that I could pay by credit card as a lot of fish and chip shops take cash only. It was a really enjoyable tea and we will certainly be going there again. Thank you to all the friendly staff

Saw another review saying the same thing, I have currently been waiting for 2 hours for a takeaway. The phones have been turned off and the mobile number provided on Deliveroo is saying that they’re not the restaurant. This needs sorted as I currently can’t contact you. Not even sure if I should order other food as it says they’ve been delivering our food with their own driver for an hour now (I live a 6 minute drive away). My partner is going to go to the restaurant (what’s the point in a takeaway delivery if you have to actually drive there). Based off another review I don’t think they will be polite when he gets there.

Really disappointing experience all round. Poor service and food. We pre booked for a table of 9 ( 6 adults and 3 children) Over 1 hrs wait for our food order, no staff interaction to apologise during this time. After ordering we were told there was no fish and chips and had to change some of our order. When the food did arrive the fries were so over cooked they were crunchy and we were also missing 3 side dishes. When asked for tomato sauce after waiting a further 10 minutes we had to prompt the waiting staff again for it. The sides finally did arrived we told they’d now ran out of chunky chips and could only provide fries instead, and my husband were literally thrown a plate of garbled bread at him from the server only to be told “we are not charging for it,”good job as it didn’t taste of garlic at all and was over cooked and crunchy. Surprise surprise when we checked our bill they had charged us for the garlic bread anyway.
