What has happened to a good eating place? VERY poor visit. Service poor and erratic and coffee machine switched off at a given time regardless of customers . Not what we expected from a usually good restaurant

My family came here for my nieces 16th birthday after we had been to the Wildlife park Christmas lights. We were all quite excited about the experience which were soon dashed and I wish we had read these reviews before booking. We were all sat down at the table and despite the restaurant been quite empty, only three other tables and there been about 10 members of staff floating about we had to ask to order. Order was eventually taken and food arrived in a deficient time but was mediocre. The beef burgers were very disappointing , really thin patties that were dry and over cooked my mother left most of hers. At no point through eating did any of the staff approached the table to check if anything was ok or to ask if we needed more drinks despite us having refills. After finishing the meal we sat again waiting to be cleared so we could have deserts, but again no staff came till we asked for the table to be cleared. We had brought a birthday cake with us which the staff did bring out and sing so that was nice, but we never got asked if we wanted deserts and we never got the one that came with the children’s meal. We decided to just ask for the bill and leave. Overall the experience was very disappointing, the food was below average, the service was bad all staff you seem to be young and experienced with no supervisor or manager around. Just before leaving, we did voice a disappointment to staff and we were offered free desserts, but by this point, we were all stood up with a coat on and just wanted to leave. Im quite surprised after reading reviews as the bad ones seems to be consistent for quite a few months and no change seems to have happened.

We popped in on our way past for a few drinks, they weren't doing food that evening but said we could go to the chip shop and eat them in there. The staff were very friendly and there were quite a few locals chatting, drinking and playing darts. We will be back another time for Sunday lunch.

Service great, food nice, however would have liked a better selection of food as was the only option on the day we stayed on site for the wildlife park

On visiting our favourite Yorkshire Wildlife Park required a cuppa & naughty cake stop. The Latte & Tea were excellent, the Honeycomb Cheesecake was delicious 🤤 Naughty & nice. The service was fast & efficient. Excellent refreshment stop.

Tuvimos la cena de pavo asado del menú Festivo, que estaba delicioso. El sabor, la presentación, todo era hermoso. El lugar y el personal hicieron que fuera una tarde maravillosa. .

We’ve been to McCallum’s Bank End Farm shop and Cafe for lunch. The farm shop is excellent, with a great choice of fresh produce so we stocked up on a few essentials like pork pie, cake and salad! We had lunch in the cafe, the guys had steak pie, chips and peas but I forgot to take a photo until they had almost finished eating 😞. The girls had home made lasagna, and quiche with salad. Everything was tasty and great value! I would have liked the meal to be served on hot / warm plates as everything cooled down quickly, and the coffee was not as hot as we like it, but other than these minor points, we enjoyed our lunch and will visit again soon!

Este café ofrece una gran variedad de alimentos (comidas, postres y artículos de panadería) y bebidas (cafés, bebidas frías, ect. ) El café tiene un ambiente muy agradable. Hay una zona para personas con perros con ellos y un poco exterior con un dosel que es perfecto en un día de verano. La única decepción es que es un poco caro, y la parte trasera de la cafetería cerca de los baños se siente un poco oscuro y sucio.

Ordered food and went to pay with it and wouldn’t accept Scottish money
