Dined here yesterday evening for my sisters birthday. Wow! This has to be THE nicest freshly cooked indian food we have ever tasted. We are generally picky about our choice of restaurants and this did not disappoint. Food was served promptly by friendly well turned out staff . The meat was top quality all fresh cooked with herbs and decent portions. Five star rating from us . Thanks for a super evening. Sue and Rach xx

Restaurante absolutamente encantador en el casco antiguo. Personal amable y encantador. Deliciosa comida y excelentes porciones. Muy recomendable. Tenner Martes es fantástico - £ 10 para un principal, £ 14. 95 por 2 platos o £ 18. 95 por tres platos.

Después de caminar un par de horas alrededor de la costa de Flamboroughs era hora de comer y beber. (Bueno, uno debe mantenerse hidratado). Llamamos al Ship Inn para almorzar y un par de pintas. Podría decirse que por dentro se ve un poco cansado pero compensado por una amable bienvenida de Yorkshire. Pedí un bistec patatas fritas n guisantes con una salsa rica. Mi compañero pidió la Lasaña. Para acortar una larga historia. No queda nada que raspar de los platos. Generosas porciones no dejaron espacio para Desert. Nos gustó tanto que reservamos para el domingo carvery al día siguiente. Una selección de 3 carnes (nosotros plomeamos para cerdo y carne de res). Nunca podrías quejarte por no comer suficiente carne. Generosas porciones. Incluso elección de salsa. Con o sin cebolla. ¡Hicimos un cerdo de nosotros mismos! Me temo que lo hicimos y nos encantó todo. Si volvemos a bajar por ese cuello del bosque seguro que volveremos a llamar.

For locals, wessies who come fort day, and anyone else make your way to experience and taste this awesome fish and chip shop cooked by the fabulous Vicky and her team. The fish and chips are gorgeous and the absolute best...try them and tell me I am wrong.

My first visit here with a friend. It was a very busy lunchtime, Wednesday. Staff were good - very friendly and efficient. I ordered the BLT sandwich in wholemeal bread, my friend had a ham and tomato sandwich. Her's was lovely, mine not so. There was one very small piece of back bacon in the first half, and the bacon in the other half was so hard I couldn't cut it with a knife, let alone my teeth! It had clearly been pre-cooked and kept warm - probably from the breakfast which they curiously stop serving at 11.45. The lettuce was wet, so had made the bread soggy. The only bit I enjoyed was the side salad. I didn't feel able to say anything at the time, as my friend was paying for us both - a British thing! However, if anyone had approached to ask if our food was OK - I would definitely have said something. The coffee was very good - but disappointing food for me. I left most of it. I don't know if I would go back - there is too much competition in Beverley to serve at this level. And the upstairs room is cold and uninviting.

Had cheese and ham toastie, was really tastie and latte was one of the best lattes I have tasted. Staff was very pleasant as well. Would come back next time we are over here.

Small Cod and chips plus curry sauce and jumbo sausage and chips. And everything was cooked to order. Perfect in every way. 👍🏻

Booked a table on Tuesday just after 4 o'clock to turn up at 5 wait outside for 15 minutes for one of the neighbouring properties to say they arnt opening today no sign in the window or call to say or even someone to greet us and explain last time I came the food was poor and this this time means I will not be attempting again and won't be recommending very disappointing

El Bull and Sun está en una ubicación brillante entre la encantadora High Street en el casco antiguo y la hermosa iglesia Prioral que admite perros. Así que como queríamos comer antes del Servicio de Adviento nocturno en el Priorato y sabíamos que el Toro y el Sol sirve filetes de 4 onzas, parecía una buena opción. Desgraciadamente, los planes mejor trazados... Habíamos reservado, aunque no necesitamos tener ya que estaba lejos de estar ocupado. Pedí los filetes de solomillo y traté de comprar dos vasos de Pinot Grigio. Pero no, no tenían suficiente para dos vasos. Vale, entonces, una copa de Pinot y una copa de Sauvignon. Pero entonces no había suficiente Pinot para un vaso grande así que el camarero no sabía cómo cobrarlo. Tuve que llamar a alguien. Alguien vino y lo arregló, pero el nuevo servidor dice que no hay filetes disponibles. Así que volvemos al menú, deseando tener tiempo para ir a otro lugar. Los aros de cebolla eran preciosos y las patatas fritas no estaban mal siempre y cuando te guste el sabor de la grasa bien utilizada. ¿Dónde está mi ensalada de col? Oh, sí, debería haberlo adivinado - sin ensalada de col. Todo lo que puedo decir es que es barato (13 libras algo para dos filetes pequeños) y que admite perros. Pero no soñaríamos con ir de nuevo. Alguien necesita agarrarse al Toro y al Sol o puedo ver que va por muchos pubs y desaparece. Lo cual sería una pena.

In our opinion if you want fast food Whites is not for you but if you want a full evening with a plethora of ideas and fabulous food then Whites IS for you. We again had the 9 course taster menu and it was brilliantly imaginative. Whites is a wonderful relaxing evening away from the humdrum of daily life and should be savoured. Long may Whites continue in this difficult climate, Beverley would be a poorer place if it ever closed. Keep up your excellent, passionate work John. Looking forward to our next visit.

Exploring a few different foodie places on Christmas Eve, I got a Turkey and Cranberry Roll and, for breakfast the next morning, White Chocolate Pain au Chocolat 🤤 The server was incredibly friendly!
