The best restaurants in Stokesley Hambleton Yorkshire and The Humber

This is a gem in Stokesley and always busy with lovely staff. I had the chorizo and mozzarella bagel with a side salad - delicious and filling. All the cakes are homemade by the staff and well worth £4 as they are amazing! Could have eaten loads as so much choice. We will be back as it’s a great atmosphere and value for money!

9 quid for soup! 16 for a Caesar salad! Decent pub food but the prices are absolutely laughable.

Called in on of chance today! Had Sunday roast, can honestly say one of the Best we've had!

Quaint old place, always a chilled atmosphere, fab on winter nights with a roaring fire going.

Always fun, attentive bar staff, beautiful looking traditional pub. Great decor. Good prices. Land lady and family are extremely friendly and charming.

Came to visit friend in stocksely over the weekend. And he booked us at uno nice cosy place .service is good and the food was really nice and well cooked every one enjoyed specially me with my sorlion pepe.just wanted to say thank you and well done.

When in for tea and a sausage bun ,wish I had not the 3 sausage where burn black the bun was hard round the edges not a good meal the staff where good about in they took it of the bill

Stopped off for F&C x 2. They were the worst fish I have tasted and my grandson agreed. I called the next day to explain I was told I would get a call back, and guess what ( No call back)?Never again.😡

Good efficient service, quick delivery of order. Clean environment and nice decor. Would recommend. Friendly staff and great selection of seating areas. Very dog friendly.

Cosy and friendly little cafe attached to the Millbry Hill shop but with its own entrance looking out over the bridge and the River Leven in Stokesley. Would definitely recommend the cheese scones.

Went to our local for a quiet drink with friends one of which used to live and work there. Received a very surprisingly hostile welcome from the land lady who left me confused and frightened. Extremely aggressive demeanour and highly threatening. Nothing like the spread used to be. The spread was always a friendly local pub, it seems as though those days are gone.

I am sorry to say that a curry ordered as a takeaway recently from the Leven was the worst I have ever had in 30 years. It was meant to be a chicken Rogan Josh but seemed to be meat in a jar of sweet and sour source with chill powder to it! I also ordered vegetable pilau that consisted of uncooked frozen mixed veg mixed with rice, it was all absolutely inedible. I had heard very good things about its Indian menu, but I now assume the chef has moved on.

We had passed by many times but decided to call in for an early evening meal. The Good - the menu is based on what is served in the adjoining Fish & Chip shop. The Bad - service was slow and the food was excessively greasy. The Ugly - the seats are uncomfortable, blue & pink flourescent lighting is a bit nausea inducing and the background music was not in the background but almost killed conversation. An interesting experience but I doubt we'll repeat it.
