The best restaurants in Ripon Minster Harrogate Yorkshire and The Humber

Myself and my partner decided to come here for dinner around 6pm yesterday on our visit to Ripon. It was absolutely amazing. The food was so good! We both had burgers, fries, milkshakes, water and dessert and it came to around £40 in total which I think is very decently priced, especially for the quality of the food. The waitress who brought our food was so lovely! The place itself has a very cool vibe! Will 100% come back here on our next visit! Also caters well for any dietary restrictions - gluten free and vegan menu offered to us, plenty of vegetarian options!

Now Jaflong run by the owner Ivey and his team, every dish is freshly prepared and each dish prepared carefully and worth the wait. Light as air naan breads, melt in the mouth mutton. Unbelievable value for money too and byob. Great weekday offers including " Staff curry night" for £9.95 and 5 courses for £10.

Sausage was as dry and as chewy as Gandhi's flipflops. Must've been sat in a pot keeping lukewarm for last 3 weeks.

Fast, friendly delivery and excellent food. Highly recommended.

My favourite eatery but terrible gluten free fish Had numerous fantastic meals but unfortunately the fish and chips were terrible The batter was too brittle and the skin left on made it difficult to slice making a mess on the plate and the mushy peas were slightly warm. The worst plate of food I have ever had and will be amaze if this stays on the menu over a month

A very warm welcome recommend if you are going to ripon and need a place to stay

Middle of January, no heating other than an electric blow heater blowing cold air out propped on top of a table. Waitress very pleasant but filthy clothes. Stair carpets filthy. Food ok, the cafe looked very grubby, wont be going back. Come on get your staff some clean overalls, new carpets, put the heating on.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast with unlimited tea/coffee. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.

Now with new management, the Golden Lion is starting to fill up again. Some good ales now and Sunday lunch good value.

I do not usually write reviews but I feel as though I have to after what I witnessed last night 28/11. After waiting 20-25 minutes for my food, I saw the fryer shouting at the gentleman on the Till area. I asked the young man if he was okay and I could tell he was getting upset. The chef was repeatedly shouting at him and telling him to go home and storming off and swearing at him whilst the gentleman did not respond and seemed to get upset. The worst part was that it was quite busy and the man on the till was obviously trying his hardest whilst the other gentleman working was seemingly walking around aimlessly, not helping, and doing nothing. I am disgusted by this, surely in this day and age abuse towards young staff should not be happening? After reading other reviews, I have seen that this is not the first time this has happened with the same Chef. Surely management has picked up on this? I was going to give the chef a piece of my mind but was concerned that it would only result in him shouting at the young gentleman further. I will not be returning when this man is working And I am advising friend and family to do the same.

The bread was so tasty and it brings back the taste of my home ♥️ It’s the lovey place that I would recommend to buy breakfasts or bread for breakfast.

Ordered early at 6pm online to have food arrive at 7:15 8pm still no delivery! Called to find out what was going on said it was out for delivery. 8:25 it finally arrived but no sweet and sour sauce with a dish. This was a £65 order. Had to call again, but too busy to get through for another 15 minutes before someone could pick up the phone. Said they would drop it off asap. It arrived within 10 minutes which was fast but a meal we should have been eating as a family at 7:15 ended up at 8:45. Not the best service my advice is order 2 hrs before you plan to eat
